You obviously don’t know who Barnett is. But in fairness, I can’t take anything away from Cormier. I’m a fan. This will be his toughest challenge to date.
It’s just as most people already know, ANYTHING can happen to ANYONE in mma. The competition is so high, and so close, the smallest mistake can cost you a fight. People don’t understand, it takes a lot more to fighting professionally, than just having KO power, or submissions. You have to fight smart. And that includes, using tactics, a chess match mentality if you will. You can’t just pounce and hope for the best.
Valasquez will be back. He’ll learn from this, like a true champions do, and come back even better.
