UFC NEWS – Undefeated Strikeforce Heavyweight Shane Del Rosario Latest To Make The Jump To UFC

It’s only a matter of time until the Strikeforce heavyweight roster is completely dissolved and in the latest step towards making that happen, the UFC has opted to sign undefeated heavyweight prospect Shane Del Rosario.
Shane’s manager announced the news this morning but did not indicate when the talented California based fighter will make his debut.
At 28-years old, Del Rosario has positioned himself as one of the most highly touted heavyweight prospects in the world. Since making his pro MMA debut in 2006 he has gone undefeated in all of his eleven pro-fights and stopped ten of the men he has faced.
The Orange County resident recently was involved in a car accident that his forced him out of competition for nearly a year. While it is still unclear how the injuries will affect his fighting career, Shane has been given the green light by doctors to resume training and should be expected to return to action and make his UFC debut in the coming months.
He now follows in the footsteps of Lavar Johnson, Fabricio Werdum, Alistair Overeem and Chad Griggs, who all got transferred from Strikeforce into the UFC.
