UFC NEWS | UFC on FOX 2 Ratings Update | Main Event Peaked With 6.1 Million Viewers

FOX officials released the final tally on last Saturdays UFC ratings. While initial reports stated that the show averaged 4.7 million viewers, the latest figures and most up to date figures show that the event peaked with 6.1 million viewers during the night’s main event.
The event now ties UFC 75 for the second most watched UFC event on TV and comes in at third in MMA overall right behind the famous EliteXC show on CBS that featured Kimbo Slice and Gina Carano on the main card.
FOX officials can also brag about the fact that the UFC on FOX 2 won all key demographics for the evening, beating out all their rival networks in the timeslot.
UFC on FOX 2 took place this past Saturday from the sold-out United Center in Chicago.
In the main event, Phil Davis squared off with Rashad Evans for the number one contender seat in the UFC’s light-heavyweight division ruled over by Jon Jones and Evans took the win. The co-feature of the evening was a middleweight number one contender bout between Michael Bisping and Chael Sonnen and Sonnen took the victory. The televised main card aired for free on FOX and the preliminary portion was delegated to FUEL TV.

Next time they should put known KO artist on the main event and less ground specialist. 6.1 million is a good number of viewers but it’s less than the 8.1 they had for their teaser event last year.
