UFC on FOX 2 is set to take place tonight from The Sold-Out Un-ited Center in Chicago. In the main event, Phil Davis will square off with Rashad Evans for the number one contender seat in the UFC’s light-heavyweight division ruled over by Jon Jones. The co-feature of the evening is a middleweight number one contender bout between Michael Bisping and Chael Sonnen. The televised main card is available for free on FOX and the preliminary portion is set for FUEL.

I had Maia winning that one but it was very close.
it was close i think the takedowns where the determining factor even though he did nothing with them – I would be interested to hear from Maia on this fight – he must have had some problems either in camp with injury or illness – he needs to get back to his roots – even on the bottom he is dangerous but it didnt seem like he wanted any of it, like he forgot he had one of the most dangerous guards in MMA – very dissapointing
Maia looked a lot smaller than when I last saw him. I also wonder too if he was sick or injured. I wonder if they can implement new policies for weight cutting because they both looked dead. Maia was on auto in rd 2.

Great fight! Bisping gets props from me for showing great TDD. I do think Bisping got robbed but I think Chael’s pace and takedowns were the factor that les to his victory. Why wasn’t this a split decision? That was super close as well!

As happy as i am that Sonnen won (which is alot alot) i agree a 30-27 call is a bit silly. I will say Sonnen dominated more in the last round that either fighter did in the first 2 rounds. I had him winning rounds 1 and 3 with Bisping winning round 2.

WTF that decision blows! Bisping was robbed. Chael looked terrible with his stand up and aside from rd3 couldnt control Bisping at all. He did no damage and Bisping still got back to his feet and scored his own take down and in that 5 seconds connected with more than Chael. Bisping deserves some respect for his performance because he gets a bum deal from most of the tools on this site.
