  1. CJ says:

I am not a fan of Vitor Belfort, but I hope he wins by 1st round KO just because of AJ’s inability to make weight. Funny how a guy who fights at 170 shows up to a fight at 185 weighing in at 204.5. Ridiculous.

    • bollocks says:

and dude you know hes gonna weigh about 220 by the time the fight starts…this guy is a joke that thinks size is everything and is too pussy to fight at 205 with people his size, just sayin.

  2. Zack says:

Anyone know what time the fights start? Didn’t know if it was a different time cuz its in brazil

  3. MMAFAN says:

I agree. AJ weighs more than Fedor who is a heavyweight when they both arent fighting. AJ needs to move up to light heavy weight. Not only to gain some respect and professionalism but also for his health. He always has Drs around him come weigh in day.

  4. Anthony Johnson needs to poop says:

Weight doesnt make a difference in all cases. Vitor has fought much heavier and destroyed them in the proccess

  5. Rumble wins says:

Rumble was advices to take on fluids as he was in danger of doing serious illness to his organs( by the UFC doctor) so he did and weighted in at 197, he was I pound of 186 when told to do this. In regards to the comment of fight people your own seize all fighters cut weight to fight except heavyweights and maybe Edgar but most fighters walk around about 25-30 pounds heavier than the weight class they fight in. Vitor will weigh in about 205 come fight night. In saying that if is poor form to miss weight but it was on doctors orders, I just hope it turns out to be the fight we where all looking forward to.

    • dave says:

yes but the reason he got sck and the reason he had to stop cutting was cuz he aited to lon and got to big,,either wa its hs fault and very un pro…he has log history of coming in over..and only AJ and his camp claim he was dow to 187…if he was down to 186 he would have tuff it out cuz 186 is ok to make weight ….

    • Chris says:

Let’s be honest, if you’re suffering from momentary paralysis, maybe you shouldn’t be fighting regardless of weight…

    • Chartmonster! says:

Maybe Dumble Johnson should’ve gotten his weight under control several weeks before the fkn fight.. Stop making bullshittz excuses!

  6. Pyle looked good!! wonder if Brazil is going to go on a huge run like last time the UFC was in Rio?

  7. Chris says:

What a tough little Japanese man.

  8. Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

Fark!!!! I can’t find a bar to watch the fight and I am too po to buy the card! I guess I will watch online after the fact. =(

    Go get him Vitor!!!

  9. So Dana White took to twitter about 30 minutes ago and said Vitor just weighed in at 205 while “Rumble” weighed in at 211 –

  10. mentoazz69 says:

    Lets go Aldo and Vitor

  11. mentoazz69 says:

  12. CanILive says:

    Barboza FTW!!

  13. Did Silva get robbed guys? – I think so

    • kw says:

yeah he was robbed, but i cant blame yamasaki.. ufc should have some sort of process in place where the ref should have an option to look at instant replays before making such judgement.. when I was watching this fight, I was had the impression that the shots were to the back of the head even though Rogan was saying it was legal… After looking at the replays, I could clearly see that there was only 1 shot to the back of the head at the very end of the barrage… and im watching this fight online… i dont blame yamasaki

    • Mike McMack says:

      Silva totally got robbed!

  14. CanILive says:

    wow mario yamasaki is garbage.

  15. CanILive says:

how many fights have i seen end for straight blows to the back of the head but they don’t get called? that was bull mario makes the crappiest calls

  16. Robert says:

Not he hit him in the back of the head numerous times. The Ref was right.

  17. Brazil is not playing around tonight! Palhares pulled guard, snatched the leg and nearly took it home with him – unreal!

  18. mentoazz69 says:

  19. mentoazz69 says:

I was hoping Vitor would’ve KO’d Johnson but that’ll work too

  20. CD says:

    Team RVCA 4 Life!!!

  21. mentoazz69 says:

WOW! That’s all I got to say is WOW!

  22. Great main card – all finishes – thats the way I like it!

  23. jason says:

mendes would have gotten a take down if aldo didnt hold the fence. Im not saying mendes would have won, but i think it would have been a very differant fight if he had gotten that first take down. nice job jose!

  24. Mike McMack says:

Jose is in a league of his own at 145! Him and Frankie Edgar would be a great fight at 145, I don’t see anyone else at 145 having a legit shot. I want to see Vitor in a #1 contendor match with the winner of Bisping v Maia since he’s better than both of them.

    • Brandon Wheaton says:

Why 145? Edgar is naturally 155 & if Aldo can make 145 he can make 155 (he’s not rumble lol).

      • Mike McMack says:

Aldo said he’ll move up eventually, I just mean that Frankie is the only guy that I believe can actually challenge Jose at 145. The rest of the 145ers aren’t in Jose’ league so it doesn’t make sense to put him up against inferior competition. Edgar walks at 155-160 so the ideal weight class for him is 145 but why move down in weight when your at the top of the heap in your current class. I think this fight will end up happening because the UFC is running out of legit challengers for Aldo. Hioki is supposed to be the #2 guy in the world but theres no way he’d have a chance against Jose. I want to see legit challenges for all the UFC champs but Jose is just way too good for anyone in his division.

  25. Aldo FTW says:

    Isn’t the Jose Aldo Knock-out 4:59?

  26. DAMN! says:

Chad Mendes has a good dinner. Ate that knee! Medium Rare..

  27. kw says:

I hope maynard can take something away from aldo like aldo did from him

  28. Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

    Thanks @ bob Marley,

I ended up finding a bar on the street and watched like a scrub through the window.

Damn Vitor is the man! I wasn’t sure who was going to to win but Rumble got outclassed. He was having problems hitting Vitor while he was on his back. I am really unsure why the ref kept having them stand up but whatever I wanted Vitor to win and Jose so I am happy. Jose deserves one of the many KO of he night awards Dana gives out. That knee was so fast and Chad was so tentative after receiving those leg kicks.

Great fights on the main as far as I am concerned!

    Brazilian fans rule!

  29. Dawson says:

Thiago tavares didnt deserve to win!! he didnt do anything! Sam stout got robbed!

  30. Suvaco says:

That’s it, now I’ll be a guard puller from now on

  31. jboy says:

I’m glad the ref stood up vitor and johnson quick. No chance for lay and pray, and refs should take notes from Dan m

    • THE INUK says:

fuck that, I hate watching lay n pray, but that was total fucking bullshit man, if you want to watch stand up fighting, go watch boxing….. its fuck ing mma, I agree with joe rogan, if you cant get up, you deserve 2 lose the fight…. with that being said. I fucking hate lay n pray. so dont complain like a bitch

  32. Twayne says:

Awesome fight night is all i can say..

  33. danriverapv says:

Thiago tavares still remains the biggest faggot in the UFC. fucking hate him.

  34. big cuts says:

Some people are dumb aj weighed in at 191 not 205 at the official weigh in… Before the fight he was 211 vitor was 205. Aj just needs to learn to cut properly…. He does NOT weigh more then fedor like someone said… Also gsp and “the PitBull” both weigh around 200+ and they cut to 170… Besides Frankie Edgar not many fighters fight anywhere near what they weigh

  35. momo says:

that was an amazing card all around, i do however think silva was robbed but it happens. And thx Pedro Carrasco for getting involved in the discussion always good to see stuff like that :)

  36. Shitface¤¤ says:

How the fuck is vitor better than maia? Fucking idiot… Maia would submit him with his eyes close.

  37. Xaninho says:

I’m glad I was right about the outcome :) I predicted Aldo would stuff the takedowns and take him out with a knee.

I totally disagree with Joe Rogan’s view on wrestling being the absolute base and foundation of MMA. Good stand-up is the base of MMA, simply cuz every fight starts standing up.

I thought Vitor would have a KO behind his name after the fight but a sub is great as well!

Palhares is scary. KO power and once he gets a hold of a limb it’s tap or loose it.

Like Pedro said that heelkick Barboza threw is going to be the KO of the year, and he’ll earn KO of the night for sure.

Prater is a bitch and Yamasaki needs glasses. Silva got robbed it’s disgusting.
