  1. Mike says:

That Hominick/Zombie fight could have gone a bit longer. Regardless, I loved both fighters going into this bout, so it would have been a tough call for me anyway.

  2. Nick says:

Fights were awesome. Two nasty submissions. The Zombie KO was awesome.

  3. rue says:

Good night of fights. I think the Zombie/Hominick fight was a good stoppage, it was clear that Hominick was out at one point and the last one that landed woke him back up, fast recovery though. On the last note, I hated to see Big Nog get his arm snapped, I was hoping both brothers would come out victorious. For a second I thought both brothers would win by T(KO).

To a fast recovery Big Nog!

    • THE INUK says:

I know, I hate seeing nog lose PERIOD. but to see it happen like that. FUCK SAKES, MIR ALWAYS DOES SUBS WAY 2 HARD.. regardless great fights… still hop mir crashes his bike again LOL jk

      • Ly-er_Ly-er says:

Well, Nogueira was doing his damnest not to tap! Since he’s so well regarded in the BJJ world, u could tell he had too much pride to allow himself to lose in that fashion! Good resistance, but damn did that snap look nasty!!! Mir, first guy to knock him out & now the first guy to submit him…..wow!

  4. Mike McCoy says:

Jake Hecht’s win was in Round 2 not round 1.

  5. DSQD says:

Jones is crazy good he dismantles most of the top of the division, Rashad next?. The only way this monster is gunna get beat if Anderson silva goes to light heavy and fights him. that would be crazy

  6. Oregon Dude says:

SILVA VS JONES!!! PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN…

  7. Karate guy says:

Machida was winning. He won the first round, ans was taking control of the 2nd, when Jones did what all the Greg Jackson’s fighters do, take down! I think Machida would have been ok if it hadn’t have been for that cut. He was setting up either a sweep or a back door escape…not sure i’ll have to watch it again. But it was obvious Jones was nervous and he knew this wasn’t gonna be easy tonight. but that cut really discouraged lyoto i think.

    • YOU are DREAMING! says:

Machida did sh** in the first round. You frickin haters are unbelieveable. So, Jones was nervous, therefore he sucks? I know, let’s make rules when you face Jon Jones: no takedowns, no spinning elbows, no kicks, what else do you want to add to tilt the Octagon in favor of Jones’ opponents??? Because that’s what it’s gonna take to beat Jones. You just don’t want to believe that.

Jones took the very close first round 10-9 because, yeah, Machida landed on a flury of punches, that’s all he did the entire fight. That left that Machida landed helped Jones’ entire career because Jones saw that MAY be a possible weakness in his fighting and now will work on that. Thanks Machida! ………….. NEXT …….

      • saiyan man says:

nah u trippin bitch im glad jones won i just hate jon jones fans kuz they talk before thinking. and machida won that first round kuz of that blitz barrage of punches that clipped jones and had him worried . but after that takedown and that nice left hand that jones landed it was over for machida … he went to sleep and passed out. u should have more respect for the fighters kuz its easy to sit there on your fat ass behind a computer screen and talk shit . you will never last a sec. in a mma fighters shoes faggot

        • Saiyan: You're dreaming too says:

Nah, Saiyan, you trippin “bro” cause you “hate” just to hate, “bro.” Tell me, “bro,” how do YOU know Jones was “worried?” Was that you in the corner? Or were you just so influenced by Rogan’s commentary because you have difficulty thinking for yourself? Jones didn’t look worried while in the corner or the start of the second. Didn’t you notice or because Rogan didn’t mention it that you missed it? The first round on strikes was basically even. That “barrage” of punches only landed once on Jones. So, they’re even on strikes and takedowns in the first. Who wins the round? Jones, for fight control. Round 2: the takedown wasn’t the beginning of the end for Machida–it was the right that landed just seconds before the takedown. Didn’t you notice that one? That’s why Jones had such an easy time to take Machida down at that point. From there on, it was a matter of time. Is that enough “thought” for you?

“he went to sleep and passed out.” What the hell does that mean, “bro?”

If you knew how to “respect,” dude, you wouldn’t have wrote what you wrote. So go back to Church and pray for some intelligence, you POS……….NEXT………..

        • A.James says:

Jones even said the punches wobbled him.

        • Zac says:

watch the post fight interview… Jones admits he was wobbled and discouraged because he couldn’t land anything.
i love how you take it personally like you’re Jones’ brother or something. Jones may have had octagon control but it wasn’t because of anything he did, it was because Machida fights defensively with counter strikes. who did the most damage that first round? who landed more strikes AND a higher percentage of strikes?
quit riding the Jones bandwagon and accept that he is in fact not a god among mere mortals and yes he does make mistakes and lose rounds… if you aren’t nervous in a fight then something is wrong.
i swear is sounds like you’d suck his dick if you could…
PS-Rogan is a great commentator and knows more about the sport than anyone commenting on this thread. and yes, he did mention the short punch that wobbled Machida. Shit man, get your facts before sound like an idiot again… smh

      • Jujitsu Player says:

Exactly, let’s make him fight with one hand tied behind his back and no elbows because its not fair on the other fighters….Karate guy is blind, Jones edged the first adapted his game plan and finished him. Who they going to throw at him now? got to be Hendo or Rashad. Can’t wait till he wipes the smile off Rashad’s face….

    • buck says:

are you crazy?????? jones was owning him for the whole 2nd round!!!!!!!
maybe you should watch it again

    • Karate guy says:

u guys are all idiots and i would kick all ur guys rear ends. I have a black belt in shotokan, and a brown belt in ju jitsu and u all are keyboard warriors

      • Fortyb4five says:

LOL oh man the guy who brags about being a black belt over the internet usually is the one who doesn’t know martial arts at all. A real martial artist doesn’t need his accomplishments to be known.

  8. Philippe says:

Damn… Jones choke was just crazy. They guy is tough as hell to beat and strong. I doubt even Rashad will be able to beat Jones with his wrestling. I really want to see what Rashad delivers against Phil. 205 division is really screwed.

  9. james says:

mir submission was nasty as hell, jones submission made me say “holy shit” out loud and i usually dont say anything after a stoppage. a very impressive night of fights and so far every jones fight i’ve seen has been entertaining. i hope he can keep a level head and not get too cocky and starts slacking because he has the most potential out of anyone ive ever had a chance to see. UFC fan for life!

  10. You are Dreaming. You really are. says:

Jones took the very close first round 10-9 because, yeah, Machida landed on a flury of punches, that’s all he did the entire fight. That left that Machida landed helped Jones’ entire career because Jones saw that MAY be a possible weakness in his fighting and now will work on that. Thanks Machida! ………….. NEXT …….

What the fuck are you saying? Lol

    • I apologize says:

I will explain it further because I may have done a poor job doing so the first time. I will also type slower so that you don’t get lost while reading this:

Even first round in the strikes and takedown. Jon Jones controlled the Octagon, which is stated here from the Unified rules:

G.Fighting area control is judged by determining who is dictating the pace, location and position of the bout. Examples of factors to consider are countering a grappler’s attempt at takedown by remaining standing and legally striking, taking down an opponent to force a ground fight, creating threatening submission attempts, passing the guard to achieve mount, and creating striking opportunities.

Jon Jones dictated the pace of the first round. Everything else was equal, IMHO. Rampage beat Machida because of this rule. This is what happens to counter-strikers that don’t strike enough.

I apologize for not being clearer the first time.

  11. Mircfsc says:

Jones is the real deal guys, let’s be real. But Machida did expose Jones; he don’t like being pressed. But he’s young and will probably fix those little problems. LHW champ for a long time. I’d love to see him and Silva. Exactly like Ali vs Foreman. MAKE IT HAPPEN DANA!

    • Nightmare Inc. says:

How the fuck did Jones get exposed when he was just fucking around with his opponent the whole fight …. just wanted to prove he could take a punch just like he wanted to prove you can tap out Rampage.

  12. I apologize says:

…and that strike that Machida landed will help Jones in training for his future fights because it landed pretty good and is something he needs to defend.

One strike after fighting: Machida, Rampage, Shogun, Bader, Vera, Matsyushenko. That’s a pretty good record.

  13. SEAGAL GURU says:

Well, at least Steven Seagal not there to take the credits :)))

  14. Tyrone says:

That 1st round was close and I’m a big Jones fan and this was the most worried I have been. Machida is a dangerous striker and landed some good shots on Jones but in the end Jones won with a fierce elbow than that insane choke! I have nothing but respect for Machida and I think he is probably the most dangerous striker in LHW and Jones was able to overcome him so I don’t see anyway testing Jones as much unless we all get to see that superfight we all want too! Silva NEEDS to move up a div. After he kills Chael that is. lol

  15. Paul says:

Funny how the same people bragging about Jones are the same who bash Anderson Silva!

  16. CanILive says:

    where’s all the dis believers???!!!!!!

COME ON SONN JBJ ALL DAY

CALLED THAT ON SPOT SUB IN 2nd RND

    DRAGON IS SLAINNNNNNNN

  17. BeScaredHombre says:

    Dan Henderson

”Congrats to @jonnybones — great win. Hey @danawhite, I’d like to see if his chin is as good as he thinks & I’m ready to go.”

    • Yeah says:

…like Jones would allow Hendo to get close enough for Hendo to throw that right!
Hendo’s one of my favorites, but Jones would win that fight.
