Cung Le got 350k?! Wow…. I’m sure not even Anderson Silva gets that much? Not saying he didn’t deserve it though. If anything, they all deserve a hell of a lot more.
I think they had to pay him that much just to temp the guy to fight…..I’m sure sure about the accuracy of the Anderson comment, I think he gets a lot more than that per fight. Didn’t GSP recently admit to getting a million per fight. Maybe thats a bundled package but I can’t see Anderson getting less (or much less)
You seem to forget that the 5 mil for a fight is with all the bonuses that they do not disclose to the public, 350k for a fight had he won there would have been no win bonus, haven’t all of you noticed that those who make over 100K per fight never have a win bonus?? Tito 250K no win bonus, same with Henderson, and even Silva no win bonus. I doubt that Cung Le will be around for long, he is older and I think they did that so he wouldn’t go back to strikeforce, if they keep taking all the big stars then they will have the excuse to fold the company.
anderson gets less than that for the fight… but he makes way more than cung in the end of the night… thats only the # for the fight… anderson makes tons of cash off ppv buys and bunch of other stuff
Cung Le 350k to fight is crazy. Id jump in a cege and get my ass kicked any day of the week for $350k.
I’ll whoop your ass for $3.50…
Cung Le needs to get his ass back in the gym and sort his conditioning out.He looked sloppy and out of shape in this fight.350 k plus fight of the night bonus ain’t bad for a nights work.
I’ve seen Cung look amazing and he looked sub par and flabby at UFC 139. Wandy was talking crap after his win against Cung saying he should be thanking him for breaking his nose because now he can make the big bucks now that he looks like a real fighter. WTH Wandy?
Cung Le will be back !!!
Fkn Cung lee got fkn paid..
Cung Le is a movie star now only right he got some pay!
How does Cung Lee make more than Hendo, Shogun, or Wanderlei? For all that they have given to the sport and the UFC? Wonder what some of these fighters think when they see this shit, not sayen Cung doesn’t deserve to get paid, but he is new to MMA compared to Hendo, Shogun, and Wanderlei.Remember when Toney was paid 500k, to be the biggest tomatoe can in MMA history, and you have guys who have fought there asses off for years and never seen that kind of a payday, these fighters need a union, Dana is the Don King of MMA.
Wow how did he make more than everyone. It was his first ufc fight and he lost. UFC is starting to turn into a fckn joke.
He puts asses in the seats at UFC 139! San Jose is his home town! I for one was more excited for that fight than any other fight on the card till I saw the main event. Cung also isn’t part of the UFC he was only contracted for that one fight as far as I know. Dana said in an interview that he wasn’t sure that Cung would return to the Octagon.
BTW although he is new to MMA he is not new to combat sports. He has been in the game probably as long as Wandy.
Cung gets the viewer to watch though… I bet his fight viewings are always high. Everyone should be getting paid for risking that much.
Yeah i dono bout that, id bet most casual ufc fans have or atleast had no idea who cung le was before this ufc. I have several friends, coworkers, and neihbors that fit the casual ufc fan profile and i think he was the only one on that card who NONE of them knew who he was.
So yeah, 350k?? Makes my brain hurt tryin to make sense of that shit.
To most casual fans, any fighter coming over from stikeforce is a newbe fighter nomater what they have accomplished.
This is all bullsh** LOL the numbers are so off. I dont believe this for one second. Cung Le @ 350 but Uriahs under 90???? Yea… RIGHT! LOL
Sh** like this is the reason UFC gets a bad name on the payscale side of things. Dumb sh** like this.
Different contracts for different fights dude….. Uriah isn’t as big a name as Cung Le!
Urijah’s not a big name? Really? He carried the WEC & 145lb division for years. He has a HUGE following, not taking anything away from Cung Le, but they should @ least be equal. These numbers are def off & not true because I saw a BJPENN purse @ 150 large… Cung Le has a bigger name than BJ?
All of these numbers are false. Bottom line.
