Shogun is fantastic!
I’d love to see a rematch. That fight last night was incredible, and both Hendo and Shogun fought a warrior’s fight. I thought Shogun squeezed out the win, but I can see how that decision coulda went either way. A draw would not have surprised me either.
Dana, I hate to admit it is right about Fox 1. If Hendo vs Shogun was on Fox 1 instead the FCC would be all over their asses.
Feel how you want about Dana White, the UFC is Dana’s Baby and he does a great job of helping it grow and mature. I agree, he is very correct about UFC on Fox 1. Imo he also does care about the fighters as well. Glad he brought up the Cung Le stoppage. That was a good stoppage no matter what Joe Rogan thinks. Rogan’s poor view of the fight and unwanted opinion is the only reason there was any question about that.
Dana is the one of best thing that ever happened to sport of MMA and UFC. He is really ushering the sport into mainstream and contributing to its grow. If the fighters are behind him and appreciative as to what he does for them, then we should not argue any longer over fighters pay compared to the sport of boxing. It’s an unfair comparison and the name fighters are getting paid good money. In the UFC loyalty has been rewarded and even no name fighters get rewarded with fat money bonuses.
As for Cung I have sweet spot for that guy. I initially thought they stopped it prematurely and that maybe true. But his face was so messed up I don’t think he should have continued anyways. Not one fight disappointed in UFC 139.
Stephen Bonner called him out but I doubt either of these fights will happen. I actually have no interest in Bonner vs Rampage.
chael sonnen vs dan henderson = epicness
