UFC NEWS – Takeya Mizugaki vs. Chris Cariaso In The Works For UFC 144

Another Japanese fighter will get the chance to compete on his home soil when Takeya Mizugaki steps inside the cage with Chris Cariaso on the stacked with Japanese talent card that will be UFC 144.
“UFC 144: Japan”, while not yet made official by the promotion, is expected to go down on February 26 live from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. As of current date, the event is expected to be headlined by a lightweight title fight between champion Frankie Edgar and challenger Benson Henderson.
Mizugaki has alternated wins and losses since debuting on US soil for the WEC promotion back in April of 2009 in an all out war with then champion, Miguel Torres. He was last seen in a winning effort against Cole Escovedo at UFC 135 where he was able to secure a second round victory via knockout.
Cariaso was last seen at UFC 138 where he took Vaughan Lee out by points to earn a split decision victory. It marked his third UFC fight and second UFC win.
