The biggest threat to Anderson is Belfort (who would destroy Chael), not a juiced up Sonnen who lost to Anderson despite a broken rib.
Silva never said no to any fight. He didn’t say no when sonnen was given the chance to fight for the title. He agreed and beat him fair and square.
What you and other Sonnen fans need to understand is DW is primarily a businessman. He wants to make as much cash as possible.
The only reason DW would like to see a rematch is cause it attracts alot of WWE fans and delusional Sonnen fanboys which will make the UFC loads of PPV money.
DW knows Sonnen has no real chance to win. Silva wasn’t manhandled, Silva was out for a submission.
So it comes down to a simple contradiction between Silva and Dw -cause Sonnen does not matter despite his trashy behaviour-
Silva wants to beat as many different skilled fighters he can before he gets too old and has to retire, and DW wants to put him against the same bum to make the quick buck.

Yet again Chael’s mouth outshines the match up. Munoz is a good fighter, at a high level. Sonnen should be bumped to the bottom of the roster for all his wrong doings in my opinion. It’s not just about how good a fighter someone is, it’s about their sportsmanship too.
Seriously pisses me off that this guy was given a second chance just because he can trash talk and gains publicity. When a fe weeks later, a vet like Marqaudt is straight dropped for the same wrong doing (minus the federal charges).

They gave Sonnen another chance because he is incredibly skilled. How can you act like he’s not a high level fighter? He steam rolled through Brian Stann, made it look effortless. He doesn’t even trash talk everyone, he didn’t say a single bad thing about Stann (and really, who could? guy is a war hero). Putting him back at the bottom of the food chain against people who he would just wreck is stupid. Who he fights is dictated by his skill, not by how good he talks trash.
This is a sport that is just as much mental as it is physical. He goes in there, talks his shit, and gets people off their game, and preforms well. He gets good ratings, and makes a bucket of money. every single time Chael talks about Anderson he just seems more pathetic. He called Anderson a fraud, and was then CONVICTED of doing it in court. He said that a BJJ black belt from the Nogueira’s is like a toy you get in your happy meal, yet most of his losses are by way of submission and he lost to Anderson by way of triangle choke. He talks about Muay Thay not being a sport, whilst he thinks that lay-and-pray is. He said he would never have a grown man between his legs on TV, referring to being in the guard, yet he has no problem rubbing against grown men on TV. He claims that pretty much everyone who trained with Anderson beat him, and how would he know? and what difference does it make? Anderson goes in and has beaten every opponent in the UFC, while Sonnen cries about how he beat him for 4 and half rounds he rapped his legs around him for a few seconds and he won. Secondly, Chael claims he was unconscious by the time he spoke to the ref, and if he was, then I don’t know how he could complain. Both were exhausted bc Andy took a hell of a beating and Chael dished it out and swung that hammer like thor himself. That fight is what legends are made of from both sides. Truth is Anderson doesn’t want anymore of Chael..Chael dominated in the stand up and ground, but Anderson is a warrior and was patient and resilient.
