UFC NEWS – Shalorus vs. Nurmagomedoz Booked For UFC on FX 1
WEC import, Kamal Shalorus has agreed to take on UFC newcomer Khabib Nurmagomedov in a lightweight bout set for January on the UFC’s inaugural fight night on FX.
UFC on FX 1 is set to take place on January 20th at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. The first ever event on the station will air live and free to channel subscribers. In the main event a lightweight tilt between top contenders Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller will go down and rebound one of the two from recent losses.
Four-fight WEC veteran, Shalorus will be looking to obtain his first UFC win. He was last seen in action in a losing effort to Jim Miller this past March in his UFC debut. Prior to defeat he went 3-0-1 inside the WEC promotion with his lone blemish coming way of a split-draw to Jamie Varner.
Nurmagomedov is set to make his UFC debut on the heels of a 16-fight win streak. The top Russian prospect has ended his last six professional fights in the first round to earn a shot in the UFC.
