UFC NEWS – Rampage Responds To King Mo Challenge: He’s A Hater And Going To Strikeforce Is A Step Down

I wasn’t impressed with Mo’s fight at all. He beat some guy and knocked some guy out on the ground, but the guy has no wrestling experience at all. I can look at Mo, I’m a fighter — I could tell he was gettin’ tired. If it woulda went to the next round, homeboy probably woulda come back. Cuz Mo looked like he was gettin’ tired. I don’t think Mo’s been in the cage with the best in the world. He thinks I’m a bum now? Cuz I lost a fight with Jon Jones, one of the best light heavyweights in my weight class right now? So, I lost a fight to that guy, so now I’m a bum? Well, he can say that all he wants, but that guy has never fought anybody close to the caliber of the guys I’ve fought…
It’s funny that he gotta talk about me after his fight and say I should move down to the Strikeforce and fight him. I’m sorry, but from where I’m sittin’, that’s a step down. You know what I’m sayin’? Why would I wanna step down to the Strikeforce and fight him when I’m fightin’ in the biggest organization in the world?”

Rampage Jackson took to HDNet’s Inside MMA to discuss King Mo, who always seems to be antagonizing Jackson through the media.
Mo has been asking for a fight and calling for a fight with Rampage for the past few years, however, promotional boundaries have made this matchup impossible.
Now that ZUFFA owns Strikeforce, Mo believes he has a little more bargaining power and suggested recently that Rampage take to the Strikeforce cage and face him.
To that, Rampage is not amused, and is also not willing to take a step down, not only in competition but also in employers.
The two really do not like each other, this is not a fabricated hype story, but King Mo just signed a new four-fight deal with Strikeforce so this fight is not likely to happen anytime soon.
Last time Mo faced a high level Striker he got busted up and lost his title, would Rampage have the same success of would Mo put on a takedown clinic?

It seems like he talks since he knows they won’t be fighting. As for the takedown clinic, I don’t see that happening. King Mo is a good pure wrestler but I think Rampage can stop his takedown. I also think Rampage hits harder than Feijo(who TKOed Mo). To say step down from the UFC and fight me in Strikeforce is INSANE!

I’d rather watch Hendo fight Jones this time, he is a little faster than rampage. They are like the Ken and Ryu of the lhw division, they are very similar.
king mo’s striking doesn’t seem to have improved much (if at all) in his past few fights. no way he takes down rampage. he’d get taken apart standing up.
Rampage would smash queen ho! I would love to see this fight just because of the trash talk but I’d rather see Rampage and Rashad 2 since that first fight was just a really disappointing performance by both guys.
