UFC NEWS – QuickTwitt: Rumors Flying That Overeem Is Out OF UFC 141 Main Event
In the midst of all the post-UFC 140 coverage, several members from the MMA media world are reporting that Alistair Overeem may have to remove himself from the UFC 141 main event against Brock Lesnar.
Josh Gross of ESPN even went as far as to state that Overeem is on this Monday’s agenda in the Nevada State Athletic Commission meeting and is stating that a pre-fight drug screening may be the culprit of the hearing.
During the UFC 140 post-fight press conference Dana White denied the claims emphatically.
It should also be noted that there is no reason to believe Alistair has failed a drug screening or is afraid to submit to screening as he has never violated a banned substance rule during his lengthy and decorated career.
We will keep you posted on this rumor, but for now, don’t mistake it, it is just a rumor.

Reem hasn’t denied it because he is with his SICK mother, everyone that is trying to get a license in Nevada must go up in front of the commission, think about this question when was the last time Reem fought in Nevada????? Exactly it was a long time ago and the last time I fought in Nevada I had to go in front of the commission to get my license. There could also be other reasons as well but the most likely is he just needs to submit the application and take a piss test. Other reasons could be because he failed something but before we talk about that lets just see what the real deal is instead of accusing a multi-organizational champion of juicing when he has never before been caught taking roids.

Here is the link to the agenda for today’s NSAC meeting. Overeem is applying for his license along with several other fighters. It also states which fighters are being considered for suspension. Overeem is not on that list
