But that fight with Hominick was one in a million. Hominick was tooexcited to do a great fight and screwed up!

you’re judging him as an average athlete simply based on his record? really? the zombie would wade into the pocket taking hits and delivering his own. as long as the fight is exciting, both fighters are winners – just like how the Japanese respect fighters that hang it out there for the public and fan entertainment. after his last couple of fights, he isn’t taking as much damage. he is a serious threat, but Aldo is an outstanding champ.
if Aldo gets through the zombie, he should move up and take Frankie Edgers belt.
Aldo is 5’7″ 145 lbs. and Edger is 5’6″ 154.5 lbs. this could be interesting, especially if Aldo cuts weight from say 155 to 145. this could be the first official walking around weight fight. Dana ranked Edger as the #2 P4P, next to Silva. Now Aldo is getting more P4P recognition. Time to put FE and JA to the test @ 55. btw, the only loss on Aldos record is in Jungle Fight 5 via RNC – he was fighting as a lightweight vs Luciano Azevedo
We all know his on-paper record, more than anyone, is not at all a representation of what he’s capable of doing. Besides, one of those losses was just a bad call by judges.
He also got robed in 1 of those loses your talking about, and made up for it with the twister sub. But it would be good to see him get one more solid win before facing Aldo

Average? He’s made a lot of noise in the past year, while he might not quite be ready for Aldo he is far from average
I am a fan of both fighters…but dunno…Aldo is just Soooo well rounded and fast. Gotta give the edge to him. I see Aldo being the champ for a while, barring an upset.

I agree with you Sandman maybe edgar could even drop to 45 either way a sick fight. MMA is so crazy hominick knocks out roop roop knocks out zombie and zombie knocks out hominick You really never know what’s gonna happen but the ufc needs contenders at 45 Aldo is killing em maybe he should go to 55 and try to be the first in UFC to hold two belts at once
@145, there is only one guy that can challenge Aldo. That’s Cerrone. Donald has already said he would drop down to 145. Do it, give him Cole Miller as a warmup and throw him in there.
Cerrone has the size and Muay Thai to bang with Aldo. That would be a great fight.
i like cerrone but i don’t think he all the tools necessary to beat aldo, he would get picked apart, Aldo’s leg kicks are way more devastating. And I love the Zombie but Aldo would probly do him like Roop did.

Good call on the Cerrone fight, if he would get down to 145 he’d be a beast. I still give Aldo the edge but it would make a hell of a fight. Failing that nobody can touch him at 145, stepping up to 155 is a different matter though.
