  1. Casey Gapol says:

    rashad evans? wtf

  2. jboy says:

Bj Penn..after machida beats Jones then bj gets a rematch and wins…lol

  3. mike says:

    Machida or Rashad

  4. None says:

Well…. hmm i would like to say Frank Mir but he aint on the list so ill go with Dan The Man i this case =)

  5. browneye says:

    Bj penn next lhw champ

  6. Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

    Suga Rashad or Hendo.

  7. Nat says:

I hope Lyoto is as crafty as Jon said and knocks him out…

  8. Nels says:

Bj Penn is a light weight/ welterweight. He won’t ever fight at 205 idiots.

  9. Harry says:

I honestly believe if Jones can beat Machida, he will become something like the GSP of the LHWs, but I think that will be a great fight. I give Machida more than a chance, and he could become the Champ again, but I think also in that case Jones will come back better, just like Georges did after his losses. But hey, I could be completely wrong, and in a sport where anything can happen, it may just end up being “suga” again

  10. Chris says:

I have a hard time thinking it could be Suga. I’d take anyone on the list over him, especially Henderson.

  11. DBKlein69 says:

the next LHW champion wont be in 2012. jones will have the belt until he decides to vacate it and move to HW, which will prob be anywhere in 4-6 years

  12. Browneye says:

The great russian super hero Andre Arlovski.

  13. P R O D I G Y says:

Why isn’t Anthony Perosh on the list thats bullshit. If you dont think its Perosh your just a hater.

    • frank says:

stands a chance? of course he stands a chance.. did you not see the first fight? ill give anderson his dues and say that he is the best p4p but sonnen is no doubt his kryptonite.. 4 and a half rounds of domination is enough to say he has a chance in fight 2

  14. Creature says:

Hendo or Rashad, dont see Machida or Shogun taking it honestly. Would love to see Hendo get it and cement his spot in the Hall of Fame and as one of the top 5 greatest MMA fighters to ever compete.

    • aaxantonio says:

shogun is the best fighter on that list, the problem with shogun he is too up and down, he will look like shit for a fight then the real shogun will show up, if they fight again and the best shogun shows up, shogun will be the next champ. and how come phil davis dont get any love on that list?

  15. RCS says:

What about Jones and Rashad as coachs on tuf? The history would be cause for crazness.

  16. hawaiiponii says:

    Falaniko Vitale

  17. Matt says:

Jones is tough to beat right now. Something has to go horribly wrong for him to lose right now.

  18. My heart says Shogun or Hendo, but think Jones is the man to beat..

  19. Andrew Burch says:

I like how everyone assumes that “if anyone can beat Jones, its Evans”. I can almost guarantee that training together has shown Jones as much of Evans’ game as its shown Evans Jones’. Not to mention frame-wise Evans is considered a small Light Heavyweight and Jones dominates that weight class due to his size. Its not likely Evans wins that fight, no matter how much people speculate. And as for Silva, hes already said he would not be fighting Jones, mainly because he knows his reach and ability to dictate the distance of his fights is his biggest tool, which he would not be able to use in a fight with Jones. In my opinion no one is going to beat Jones, they’ll just have to wait until he out grows that weight class an has to move to heavyweight before someone else can take that title.

    • Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

Who cares how big Jones is? When he’s on his back all of his advantages go out the window. He’s very talented and people compare him to Anderson Silva but the problem with that comparison is that lhw division has stiffer competition than mw. Eventually a better striker like Lyoto or a great wrestler like Hendo or Evans will get their day in the sun. He isn’t unbeatable and the belt changes hands too often in lhw in order for it to be in his hands for much longer.

  20. Craig j says:

The next guy to be lhw champ will be Phil davies

  21. magoo says:

there is not one man in the lhw div that will beat Jones in 2012

    • tim koets says:

      Not even in 2013..
Jones is unbeatable at for the coming years.
I think in his division he is even a better fighter than Anderson….
Lyoto goes KO in second round…

  22. Ralph says:

Jones until Anderson gets rid of sonnen and finally decides to move up and win that belt too

  23. SP says:

Jones could well hold the cursed 205 title.
Although a Rashad fan I do not see how he has a better chance than Machida. Machida is the biggest threat to Jones.
I suspect the belt will continue to change hands.

  24. Don't Be Scared Faggit says:

JBJ for the next few years …

  25. mmaster says:

i always picture his fight with bitchping haha

  26. robert says:

Anderson Silva will never be light heavyweight champ.what planet do you people live on.

  27. Doonybrook says:

Jon “Bones” Jones… he’s the man!

  28. brandon thomas says:

If rashad can’t beat Jones then hopefully Anderson will meet Jones and well see but for now Jones

  29. Justa Thought says:

I’m nowhere near a “Bones” Jones fan, but from a sensible standpoint I don’t see anybody beating Jones anytime soon. I think his toughest fights would be Henderson or Evans. (Rashad should be in this poll)

  30. P R O D I G Y says:

This poll is stupid if you dont think its Anthony Perosh you dont know shit about MMA. or Gustaffson would knock jones out cold.

    • P R O D I G Y says:

lollercoaster..Perosh would smash any LHW your just saying that cause your insecure he will smash your favorite LHW. believe me he will be champ in the next to years nobody can stop his ground game.

      • P R O D I G Y says:

        2 years*

        • Justa Thought says:

Maybe if Jones were an older fighter, but at this point he is still improving at the same rate if not faster than any other fighters that are even in contention. Having the belt at his age could be a huge advantage for consecutive defenses.

    • mmaislandjunkie says:

perosh?? lmao he lost to a old crocop for goodness sake.

      • P R O D I G Y says:

That was at HW. now that he is at his real weight being LHW he is untouchable. He would smash Jones and sub him in the first rd like he does to everybody. Jones is gonna duck him so the fight will prlly never happen. WAR HIPPO

  31. lol says:

    machida.. suck my balls haters.

  32. browneye says:

  36. SP says:

Machida will beat Jones. Then Machida will fight Rashad and win. Jones will fight Hendo coz Hendo beat Shogun.
