he didnt look that bad today man. he’s probably sitting at 175 Ibs cuz if you saw the lyoto fight that was bj at 190 and he looked big there. i got to talk to him three times and the dude isnt going to retire. was about to ask him why he didnt take the offer to join forces with the gracie camp but it would awkward. i only have one request from bj and that is to get his cardio to top notch. if he does he would be unstoppable. it takes other fighters like nick diaz mulitiple punches to tko an opponent but bj only needs one. there are still signs of greatness in bj especially when he fought fitch and diaz in the first rounds. if only he has enough stamina to last 3 rounds. plus hes got power in both hands and always is quicker to the punch and bloodies everyone up. man please live up to your full potential.

I like your post braddah! Straight up keepin it real! And you’re spot on….on a few things there, “…….if he does he would be unstoppable”. Diaz didn’t LAND one shot against BJ in the first round, BJ was so on point & looking SO dominant! I can’t wait to see him fight like he did against the nightmare(Diego Sanchez) and a couple other fights as well but I singled out that one cuz Diego was a worthy opponent easily dismissed. In my eyes, that’s the BJ we all know and hope to see when in the octagon. I had mad respect for Diego as a fighter(not necessarily his mouth) and thought it would be a close fight, IT WAS A NO CONTEST! BJ sent Diego into retirement in short, and Diego will never recover from that beating BJ put on him psychologically. Right now, I believe BJ is doing what’s important outside of the cage, and that’s his family! Two thunbs up! The Penn family is a strong unit, class all the way, and epitomizes the word “FAMILY”. He is and has been chilling since his last fight which is so deserving as nobody unless you’re a fighter can appreciate the blood, sweat, & tears that go into training before a fight AWAY from his family so it’s catch up time and I hope he WILL RETURN, TO FULL POTENTIAL!!!

Im an MMA fan but not a BJ fan but after the event at MOA and seeing how bj would please the fans and walk around every corner to show his appreciation to those who wait for him is quite admirable. he would rather interact with fans rather than talk with the host of the event is something that other ufc fighter in the past who visited philippines didnt do.
Hes not fat, i think hes walking around 180-185lbs, its something that is normal for a lightweight when theres no fight looming around and besides hes kinda semi retired.
