I disagree with the statement that King Mo is the best wrestler in MMA. I believe both Jones AND Rashad would put him on his back and control him in MMA. Pure wrestling and MMA wrestling are 2 different things.
WORD… everyone always say div 1 wrestler bla bla blaaa, they just always forget that Jon never pursued a future in college wrestling and went right into mma. went to high school with him, and that move he pulled on bader where he whipped his leg around him, that was his high school trick
actually he did pursue wrestling, he went to a juco in Iowa he was recruited by Iowa State. He has excellent greco, point blank a lot of people respect jones stand up, thats why most people are scared to test it. They get caught up in the film sessions, YES he is an amazing athlete, but if you take the pace to him, how will he respond? That’s why i like Machida in this fight, but then again i thought Rua would push the pace against him. If Jones destroys Machida i will have to stop doubting him.
Machida is going to test Jon’s cardio. If Machida can be quicker than Jones, it’s over.

Being quicker than Jones is not easy, not only you need to move quicker , you need to cover a greater distance than he needs to cover, which means you have to move MUCH faster than Jones. Machida and Anderson Silva approach their fight quite analytically though (maybe not as much as Jackson’s fighters but they are not afraid to make the fight boring rather than playing to the hand of their opponents) so I think he’ll be able to somehow get inside and give Jones trouble.
This is the best possible match-up in LHW right now, I can’t think of any other championship fights that I’d want to so other than this and Jones-Evans. I don”t think that Hendo-Jones would be as good (Jones wins that relatively easily me thinks).
Machidas kicks will close the gap in the stand up. I think most of this fight will be in a clinch or against the cage. I think machida has better jits so I’m going for machida submission in the champ rounds.
Do you forget that Jones throws kicks too not to mention he has the longest reach in mma??

Lookin jacked doesn’t mean he’ll be beat jones.. Skill and and execution of gameplan is going to win the fight. Jones’s reach and the way he mixes up his style is going to cause issues for machida. I want to see Jones dethroned, but don’t think machida can pull it off. I think Hendo can pull it off!

exactly king trt therapy is just bullshitt. its legal steroids imo. as far as lyoto having muscle, i think thats a good thing. he looks very motivated for this fight and ppl tend to forget, but if he and rampage had one more round i think machida would have finished him too. i think machida might just surprise everyone and dethrone the young champ before the year is out.
That would be something @islandJ, but I don’t think it will happen. I’m not a big JBJ fan, but the way he’s been running through top guys can’t be denied; it’s hard to imagine that Machida has what it takes. I guess we’ll see what his training has produced on fight night…
i think its the case of who ever applies there affective gameplan through the whole fight winns ,both are a puzzle,machida need to treat this more like a point scoring match ,jones is dangerous all round but if put off his game and sent into the later rounds he could loose
