UFC NEWS – Mike Pierce Eyes TKO Stoppage Over Koscheck At UFC 143

“Josh Koscheck just seemed like the right guy. He’s a tough guy. He’s fought for the title. I think it will be a good fight, and it could do a lot of things for me in the UFC if I win… From a lot of people’s perspectives, this isn’t a fight that he necessarily wanted. In a lot of people’s eyes, he has a lot to lose in this, and I understand that. For him to take the fight is a good thing for me and I appreciate it, but I don’t think this is one that he was looking forward to taking… I’m going to come out there, press the action, get in his face and keep it that way for three rounds if necessary. I’m definitely looking to TKO him.”
Welterweight fighter, Mike Pierce discusses his upcoming bout with Josh Koscheck and the thought that Koscheck has basically, nothing to gain and everything to lose in the match.
Hinting at the fact that Koscheck may have not wanted the fight, Pierce intends on capitalizing on the opportunity and simultaneously throwing his name in the hat as one of the most deadly men on the planet.
Koscheck is a former title challenger and trains with a stable of top 10 fighters who have helped mold him into a devastating wrestler with a highlight reel of knockouts to his credit, but will any of that matter when he steps opposite Pierce?
Pierce is the same man that almost put away Koscheck training partner, Jon Fitch, in his Octagon debut.
It’s probably considered a long shot, but is anyone giving Pierce a chance in this fight?

umm no lol he has no shot. kos by either ko or devastating gnp tko
Just remember Kos’ chin in the Paulo thiago fight. Pierce will knock him out if Kos chooses to fight him and not do his best FITCH impression. kos looks good against fighters who can’t strike or are 38 year sold and one -dimentional like Hughes. I bet pierce caves in that weak orbital that Kos has. Prob defect from cross breeding
If he’s in shape and not all rolly polly, Pierce will give Koscheck a good fight, then yes he has a chance!
Pierce is as tough as they come n kos def has a fight on his hands. This should be a good 1. If I remember correctly pierce gave koschecks buddy n team mate fitch a run for his money not to long ago
Uh yea, it says that right in the article, thanks…Pierce doesn’t stand a chance, Kos by KO in round 2
You better watch Pierce vs Fitch before you get too cocky about Koscheck blowing thru Pierce. We all know Fitch can take a better punch than koscheck and Pierce smashed Fitch’s face in round 3 of their fight where Fitch was clearly 2 punches or 5 seconds from being KO’d. Koscheck better be FITCHING or he will get KO’d. Pierce is no slouch on the ground so if Kos can’t do the same thing he did to Rumble and daley he will be in trouble mark my words. Downside to Mike Pierce is he gets really fatt between fights and he’s not abig guy like Rumble or someone that should naturally put on 40 lbs after each fight. the guy up top said it perfect if Pierce doesn’t come in all rolly polly chubby and is actually in shape he is tough as nails
lol Pierce says he’ll “TKO” koscheck, which means he believes at best he’ll “TKO” not “KO” koscheck. with that being said, Koscheck will win.
Pierce is going too destroy Koscheck. He would beat Fitch in a rematch too.
Kos wins this by KO..
Kos is for reals and striking has improved.
Making predictions for mma is about as retarded as it get. There is rarely ever a fight that someone will definitely win
Pierce has been begging the UFC for a rematch with Fitch. Fitch has been out for 10 months watching evryone else fight and still spouting off that he has cleared out the divsion and wants his title shot. losing 2 rounds to a lighweight and getting his shoulder torn apart by BJ hardly qualifys fitch for a title shot. That was peirces first fight in the UFC and he beat the hell out of Fitch in round 3, i want to see round 4 Pierce vs Fitch as i know he would KO Fitch in a rematch. maybe after Fitch fights Koscheck, Sheilds, ellenberger, Condit, kampamn , rory kim, The list is endless of WW Fitch hasn ‘t fought but he still tells everyone he has cleaned out the division
Ellenberger would mop the floor with Fitch. Condit would finish him and i think Shields beats him as well/
