UFC NEWS – Lesnar Training Partner Tim Hague: There Is No Stopping Brock’s Takedowns

“Was pretty surreal [at Team Deathclutch]. Best training, and best group of guys I’ve ever trained with…being able to work with Pat Barry and Cole Conrad 1 on 1 was unreal. Working MMA with Brock and 5 other legit UFC level HW’s every day is something I don’t get up in Edmonton… I’m not gonna give away any of [Brock’s] strategy, but he is scary strong, and scary conditioned, and if he gets the jump on a takedown, you’re going down, or you’re blowing out a knee or something haha.”

In a recent posting on The MMA Underground over at MMA.TV, former UFC heavyweight fighter, Tim Hague talks about his time preparing Brock Lesnar for his UFC 141 main event bout against Alistair Overeem.

The MMA world is chomping at the bit to see a fully rested and healthy Lesnar return to action. After battling back from colon surgery due to an extreme case of diverticulitis, Lesnar has reportedly returned back to MMA training stronger than ever.

In his next matchup with Alistair Overeem, the UFC has put together a true “striker vs. grappler” match and if what Tim says is true “The Reem” could be in for a long night.

Four more days until we find out…

I don’t think Terms could stop an unhealthy Leonard TD’s. But we will see how he fairs against real competition this weekend, he might surprise me. If he does then I don’t think JDS stands a chance against him…but I don’t think he can handle either of them.

  4. T.DADDY says:

Brock has taken down everybody he has fought… Reem will be on his back and gettin pounded to a tko before u can say k-1

Lmao, Deathclutch seems to be the only gym whose teammates fight each other. Does anyone else notice this?
