UFC NEWS – Joseph Benavidez Hoping For Three Team Alpha Male UFC World Champions

“It’s awesome and we are hoping to have three champions on team Alpha Male. Chad going for the championship, Urijah and Me, you know how amazing would it be for the three of us to be world champions. I was going to keep plugging away at 135 and be world champion again, and I wasn’t going to lose to anybody else, but this was just meant to be you know, for all three of us to be champions.”
Newly minted “flyweight” title contender Joseph Benavidez recently sat down with Larry Pepe on ProMMARadio to discuss his involvement in the UFC’s new 125 pound division.
During the interview he brings to light that his two most recognizable teammates are also in title contention. Urijah Faber will complete a trilogy with Dominick Cruz for the UFC’s bantamweight title and Chad Mendes faces off with Jose Aldo for the UFC’s featherweight title.
For Benavidez, he has to make his way through a four man bracket in hopes to be crowned the first ever UFC flyweight champion.
For far too long the Team Alpha Male fighters have been on the cusp of greatness. However the team out of Sacramento California has yet to have any champions crowned since the earlier featherweight reign of Urijah Faber in the WEC.
Can they turn it around and become the only fight team on the planet to hold three simultaneous UFC titles?
It would be a feat that really hasn’t been accomplished since the Team Miletich reign.

Faber will beat senior cruz

i would love
HW- Dos Santos v Alistair (could care less who just want to see that fight do DOWN)
LHW- Jon Jones (sadly, but its reality for the LHW division)
MW- Anderson Silva
WW- Nick Diaz interim then Fight and hopefully beat GSP
LW- Frankie Edgar (untill he moves down)
FW- Jose Aldo (untill he moves up)
BW- Urijah Faber
FLYW- Demetrius Johnson ( but it is a tournament so you never know)
Haters Gonna Hate.
lol cmon man
lmao keep on hoping,I think benavidez has the best chance
I can see Faber and Benavidez taking the titles, however I do love Mendes but his game would need to be nearly perfect to get that belt. 2 outta 3 good enought though!
I think benavidez can get a a title.chad has his work cut out for him with aldo and faber has to get past cruz which I think cruz would win more decisively this time.
