UFC NEWS | Joey Beltran Released From UFC Following UFC on FOX 2 Loss

“I am truly grateful for all the opportunities that I have received from the UFC/Zuffa. I am not sad or hurt by their decision as I know that winning is the name of the game. Posting a 1-4 record my last 5 fights is unacceptable regardless of how entertaining the fights were. So this is the next chapter of my career, and one that I am excited for. You will definitely see my ugly face again so fans don’t worry and haters keep on hating.”

“The Mexicutioner” Joey Beltran just released a statement via explaining that he has been released from the UFC following his loss last weekend to Lavar Johnson.

After starting his UFC career with an upset victory over Rolles Gracie back at UFC 109, Joey’s two-year stint with the promotion saw mixed results. He now departs from the UFC posting a 3-4 record since his debut.

He is entertaining, needs to come in at 205 lb thou with a lil more offensive game plans.

  3. Beltran is a slugger he’s got heart for days but he’s not a martial artist imo. Can’t say i’m dissapointed that he got cut.

I would like to see him at 205, I think we all would. The guy is like Cabbage, but waaay better.

  7. Eddie D...Joey needs to go down to 205 says:

Joey has a good future…”IF” he drops down to LHW…The guy he fought was just way to big for him..JB is way to small for HW…Hopefully he makes that dec and drops down

  8. Bob Dole says:

not surprised by this at all. at first, i thought it was bad losing to a guy that’s lost twice in two different strike force challengers event. now i just remembered he’s 1 – 4 in his last 5 fights… definitely can’t complain about this one.

  9. Calvin says:

really i figured theyd give him 1 more chance at light heavy weight
