UFC NEWS – Injury Report: Mike Brown Out Of UFC On FX 1, Ricardo Lamas Out of UFC 143

Featherweights Mike Brown and Ricardo Lamas have been forced to withdraw from their upcoming fights due to undisclosed injuries. The UFC made the announcement earlier today via their Twitter account. Brown was scheduled to meet Vagner Rocha this January at UFC on FX 1, while Lamas was slated to face Dustin Poirer at UFC 143 this February. No replacements have been named just yet, but stay tuned to BJPenn.com for updates on this story.
Mike Brown is coming off a unanimous decision victory over TUF 12 competitor, Nam Phan this past August at UFC 133. The win snapped a two fight losing streak for the former WEC featherweight champion, as Brown has gone just 2-3 in his last five fights.
Ricardo Lamas is currently undefeated in the UFC at 2-0, and 5-1 in his last 6 fights. He last fought this past November at the UFC on Fox card, where he earned a submission victory over Cub Swanson. Without question, Lamas will be looking to get back in action as soon as possible and continue his climb up the UFC featherweight ladder.
