UFC NEWS – Featherweights Eric Koch And Dustin Poirier Agree To Meet At UFC 143
UFC officials have confirmed a featherweight addition to next year’s UFC 143 event in Las Vegas and it comes in the form of Eric Koch vs. Dustin Poirier.
UFC officials took to twitter with the announcement this afternoon.
UFC 143 is expected to take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Super Bowl weekend. Georges St. Pierre will be the headliner against his newest title challenger Nick Diaz.
Koch made his UFC debut back at UFC 128 with a first-round knockout of Rafael Assuncao that put the rest of the division on notice. He then went on to outpoint Jonathan Brookins at UFC Fight Night 25 in his last UFC performance.
Poirier burst onto the scene when he took out the former number one contender Josh Grispi at UFC 125. After a successful debut that derailed the title hopes of Grispi he has looked unstoppable, notching wins over Jason Young and most recently Pablo Garza in his last performance at UFC on Fox 1.
