UFC NEWS – Escudero Returns Against Danzig At UFC 145

A lightweight bout has just been added to the UFC 145 card in Montreal in the form of Efrain Escudero vs. Mac Danzig.
UFC officials confirmed the matchup just moments ago.
UFC 145 is still yet to be officially announced by UFC officials but it is expected to take place on March 25 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.
Efrain Escudero was recently given his chance to return to the UFC at last week’s UFC 141 event where he faced Jacob Volkmann on short notice. Prior to the bout Efrain had been away from the promotion for 14 month’s fighting his way back to the UFC on the regional circuit. In his most recent outing he dropped a tough fought decision loss to Volkmann and needs a win in this next fight to prove he belongs in the shark tank that is the UFC’s 155 pound division.
For Danzig, he too needs a win or else he may face the unemployment line. Having only won two of his last seven fights in the Octagon, the Ultimate Fighter winner needs not only a win, but an impressive performance in order to keep some sort of relevancy. He last saw action in a rematch against Matt Wiman where he lost via decision this past October.

That is going to be such a deadly fight betweet two talented lightweights who have been hitting hard times. Its unfortunate that one of their careers iis gonna take a dramatic turn to for the worst. I got Danzig for the W.
yea sucks for Efrain, 2 and out for his 2nd ufc run. you never know though
i thought danzig got ripped off in his last fight and im not a fan of escudero so im hoping danzig with a ko
Bye bye Escudero. Danzig looked great his last fight and I thought should have won.
Efrain’s pipe dream of competing in the UFC is a joke. He was cut for a reason. The only reason they brought him back is because the UFC is putting on shows every two weeks. As soon as the injury happened he got a call from Joe Silva to fill the void. Every late replacement the UFC gets is a sub-par fighter. Efrain take it to Bellator, BAMMA, Dream, etc.
winner goes home
