UFC NEWS | Eight Fighters Receive Medical Suspensions Following UFC On FOX 2


Eight participants from last weekend’s “UFC on FOX 2: Evans vs. Davis” event have received medical suspensions from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

UFC on FOX 2 took place this past Saturday from the sold-out United Center in Chicago.

In the main event, Phil Davis squared off with Rashad Evans for the number one contender seat in the UFC’s light-heavyweight division ruled over by Jon Jones and Evans took the win. The co-feature of the evening was a middleweight number one contender bout between Michael Bisping and Chael Sonnen and Sonnen took the victory. The televised main card aired for free on FOX and the preliminary portion was delegated to FUEL TV.

The full list of UFC on FOX 2 medical suspensions is as follows:

Phil Davis: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days
Chris Weidman: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days
John Olav-Einemo: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days
Nik Lentz: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days
George Roop: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days
Joey Beltran: Suspended 60 days with no contact for 45 days
Dustin Jacoby: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days
Chris Camozzi: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days
