I think Nick was more alluding to the notion that GSP would rather face him than Condit because Carlos and Georges are stablemates & know / like each other….going back to what Diaz stated in an earlier interview about fellow Welterweights: “If we’re going to be fighting, we’re not friends.”

He seems really out of his comfort zone there. Looks to me like he is going to have to work hard to keep himself together mentally between now and fight time. I think the media pressure might be too much for him and willl have a draining effect on his performance.

Yeah, that’s all I am saying. All those questions can be unnerving because now you are having to think about things other than the fight. And if you have a screwed up past like he does, that can really get you thinking about things other than the fight. It’s added negative energy.

I don’t think so. Nick’s cardio gives his fans a lot of confidence, but Carlos has an iron will. Nick has been fighting 2nd tier WW’s. Carlos has been in the trenches with higher level guys and gutted out wins. He is on another level than Nick.
errrrr wrong. dong kim and hardy are not better competition than bj penn and paul daley. daley was in a championship fight against nick in strikeforce and a no.1 contender fight v kos in the ufc. dong kim is never gona make it to a championship fight unless the ufc decides to put him in there to market him in korea or something kinda like how they marketed hardy for his championship fight.
Diaz is 7 – 4 in the UFC and Condit is 4 – 1. Penn is not a WW, otherwise he would have won that fight and we wouldn’t even be talking about Diaz. But, he’s not, he’s a LW, so living off the praises off Penn’s famed name, I don’t believe applies here. So, actually, he is 6 – 4. And he is soon to be 6 – 5 for a dismal, almost .500 record.
