UFC NEWS – Demian Maia Wants To Get Back To His Submitting Ways

“That’s my trademark and I want to submit again. If it depended exclusively on me (laughs)… I do my best on the trainings to get it, but we can’t forget on the other side of the ring there’s an opponent who’s always getting better and better on a high level in the UFC. Despite I always want to submit them, finish it earlier, I can’t complain. I must be humble and accept that there’ll always be a well-prepared person, too.”
UFC middleweight fighter Demian Maia, recently revealed to Brazilian media outlet, Tatame.com that he wants to get back to submitting his opponents.
Widely regarded as one of the very best submission grapplers in MMA today, Demian wreaked havoc on the UFC’s middleweight division with his high level Brazilian Jiu Jitsu skills. Submitting his first five UFC opponents he quickly rose through the ranks and earned a title shot against Anderson Silva.
However, the submission savant hasn’t tapped anyone out since and his last five wins have come way of decision.
Can he get it back on track or have his opponents figured him out?
