UFC NEWS – Dave Herman vs. Stefan Struve In the Works For UFC on FUEL TV

UFC officials are working on signing a heavyweight bout between Dave Herman and Stefan Struve.

The bout, if signed, will likely be featured on the first ever UFC on FUEL TV card.

UFC on FUEL TV is set to take place in Omaha, Nebraska on February 15. No venue has been announced to host the event, but a welterweight match between Jake Ellenberger and Diego Sanchez will likely serve as the evening’s main event.

Herman was recently forced out of his UFC 136 bout for a positive drug test for marijuana. However, his drug related suspensions has not expired and he is ready to return to action. He was last seen in his UFC debut against Jon Olav Einemo at UFC 131. He was able to secure victory via second round TKO and also earned “Fight of the Night” honors in the process.

Struve is one of the UFC’s more active heavyweights. He was last seen on the UFC on Versus 6 card submitting Pat Barry in a “Submission of the Night” earning performance.

Herman put on such a good show against Einemo. He left me wanting to see another FOTN performance.

We need Dave Herman in the UFC. He has good skills, especially for a big man, and a great heart. Best of all, though, is his off-the-wall quirkiness. He was always funny in his post fight interviews at EliteXC. He will be entertaining every time he fights.
