UFC NEWS – Cody McKenzie Out Of UFC on FOX 2 Booking With Injury, Shane Roller In As Replacement

The injury bug strikes again.
This time it’s the popular guillotine savant, Cody McKenzie who has been forced to withdraw due to an undisclosed injury from his Jan 28. Fight on FOX with Michael Johnson.
In his place comes Shane Roller.
UFC on FOX 2 is set to go down from Chicago’s United Center on January 28 live on FOX TV.
In the main event, Phil Davis will square off with Rashad Evans for the number one contender seat in the UFC’s light-heavyweight division ruled over by Jon Jones. The co-feature of the evening is a middleweight number one contender bout between Mark Munoz and Chael Sonnen. Also featured on the card is a middleweight bout with serious title implications between Michael Bisping and Damian Maia.
After debuting in the UFC with a flash knockout of Thiago Tavares, Roller has looked less than perfect in his last two outings. He likely fights for his life in this last minute booking against Johnson after dropping consecutive losses to T.J. Grant and Melvin Guillard in his lat two appearances.
Johnson was last seen at UFC on Versus 6 in a losing effort to Paul Sass. Prior to the recent setback he was on a respectable run which saw him go 4-1 with the lone setback coming in the form of his TUF season 12 finale loss to eventual winner Jonathan Brookins.
