UFC NEWS – Camoes vs. Hayden Possible For This Friday’s UFC on FX 1 Event

While not yet official, UFC newcomer, Tommy Hayden will likely fill a vacancy during this Friday’s UFC on FX event and face Fabricio Camoes in preliminary card action.
UFC officials have yet to announce the bout as official, however sources close indicate this bout is a go.
Camoes was originally scheduled to face Reza Madadi but a recent injury has scratched Madadi from the event.
UFC on FX 1 is set to take place from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on January 20. A lightweight bout between Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller will serve as the evening’s main event live on FX. The preliminary bouts are expected to air on FUEL TV.
Hayden is a Cincinnati Ohio based fighter training under the tutelage of longtime MMA veteran Jorge Gurgel. After four-years on the regional circuit he has amassed an unbeaten record of 8-0 which includes five-submissions and two knockouts.
Camoes last saw UFC action at UFC 111 in a decision loss to Kurt Pellegrino. The defeat sent him packing to the regional circuit where he was able to earn his way back to the promotion following a Tachi Palace win over Efrain Escudero this past May.
