UFC NEW – UFC Newcomer Jared Papazian Tapped to Face Mike Easton at UFC on FX 1

King of the Cage bantamweight champion Jared Papazian has received the call to head to the big show following the withdrawal of Mike Easton’s original opponent Ken Stone.
Originally scheduled for the event was Ken Stone vs. Mike Easton but just 24-hours after the bout was made official, Stone was forced to withdraw with an injury.
In his place comes UFC newcomer Jared Papazian.
UFC on FX 1 is set to take place from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on January 20. A lightweight bout between Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller will serve as the evening’s main event live on FX. The preliminary bouts are expected to air on FUEL TV.
Easton was last seen in action making his UFC debut at UFC on Versus 6 this past October. He was able to take out Byron Bloodworth via TKO to earn his first UFC victory. A member Brandon Vera’s Alliance MMA and Master Lloyd Irvin’s team he will look to keep his win streak alive which is currently set at six-fights.
After voicing his desire to be signed by the UFC on twitter, the Armenian born fighter finally got his wish. He comes into his UFC debut on the heels of a successful outing against Marvin Garcia this past September to earn himself the King of the Cage title.
