UFC NEW – Blanco vs. Brimage Expected For UFC Atlanta In April
A featherweight bout between Maximo Blanco and Marcus Brimage has reportedly been booked for UFC 145 in Atlanta.
UFC 145 was originally scheduled to go down in Montreal in March, however after UFC officials cancelled the event, UFC Atlanta (which was originally scheduled to be UFC 146) is now coined UFC 145.
UFC 145 is set to take place on April 21st and is expected to take place at Atlanta’s Phillips Arena.
Blanco last saw action under the STRIKEFORCE banner with a losing effort against Pat Healy. In the bout he showed grit and determination but it was not enough to earn victory. Now he plans on taking on the featherweight division where he is more suited based on his size and enters the UFC in his debut this April.
Brimage was introduced to the UFC audience during “The Ultimate Fighter” season 14. He last saw action taking out Stephan Bass during the shows finale.
