By: Chris Taylor
UFC heavyweight Christian Morecraft (7-3 MMA, 1-3 UFC) was arrested this past weekend and charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence, reckless driving, speeding and driving without a license. Morecraft reportedly was arrested when he refused to take a breathalyzer test. He was later released on bail. A local newspaper shed some more light about the incident:
Police stopped a motor vehicle in the vicinity of 480 Main Street, Hyannis. They arrested Christian C. Morecraft, 25, of Hyannis and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, driving so as to endanger, speeding and with driving with no license in possession.
Morecraft commented on the charge via his facebook page:
“A good man is an honest man and I made a mistake.”
Morecraft made his octagon debut back at UFC 117, where he suffered a knockout loss to Stefan Struve. He rebounded from the loss by defeating Sean McCorkle via submission in March of 2011. Christian is currently riding a two-fight losing streak, which includes a knockout loss to Pat Barry in his latest octagon appearance.

Jon jones is indeed a role model..
Amazing lol. “Kill Greg Jackson”? You must have nothing else to do with your time. Pure personification of a hater.
Only complete tools use the term “hater.” It takes less than a minute to post something, yet he has nothing else to do with his time? Even if he doesn’t, so what? At least he doesn’t spend his time listening to shitty rappers like Lil Wayne and repeating their ignorant and stupid phrases like you. The Jones comment was funny and relevant; you’re a butthurt fanboy.
Lmfao, good one “TheNextOne”..and “Johan”, next time i want your opinion, i’ll give it to you.
You’re embarrassing yourself. Shut up, Dumbass.
Why does this Texan guy get emotionally affected when people hate on Jones? Dude, something’s seriously wrong with you, Jones is not gay, get over it and move on.
terrible news. for him and the UFC.
He shouldn’t have come out of Pat Barry’s closet…
I always though Morecraft was a douche
keep ya head up high morecraft. learn from ur mistakes. cant wait to hear the hate, since it seems mma fans love to absolutely crucify ppl over any mistake.
Agreed. Would love to read intelligent comments/opinions. Instead just a bunch of shit talking and pointless arguments 95% of the time on here. DUIs happen, ppl do dumb shit sometimes. Hopefully he learns from it and life goes on
Blame Jones, he set the trend. I guess he’s more of an inspiration than he led us on to believe.
