UFC Heavyweight Alistair Overeem Joins The "Blackzilians" | Signs With Authentic Sports Management In US

After his devastating first round knockout of Brock Lesnar at UFC 141 in Las Vegas this past December, Alistair Overeem, the number one heavyweight contender for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight title, and the man who will next challenge reigning champion Junior Dos Santos for the most coveted championship in the world, realized he had just one more move to make before the biggest fight of his career: he needed a home and a team in the United States. After months of careful searching, Overeem traveled to South Florida to meet with Authentic Sports Management (ASM). Afterward, Overeem knew he had not only located the right place to start the road to Saturday, May 26, but he had also found a new family and a brotherhood. Glenn Robinson, President, Authentic Sports Management, is pleased and honored to announce today that Alistair Overeem is now signed with ASM, the premier sports management and marketing company in the sport of mixed martial arts.

“With Authentic Sports Management, I saw right away that Glenn Robinson has a system in place that allows the fighter to focus on training only, which is so important as I prepare for my UFC heavyweight title fight against Junior Dos Santos,” said Overeem. “ASM has a team of experts to help you grow as an athlete, from Glenn working hands-on as management to Jen Wenk handling my PR and Karen Gough running marketing, a full-time nutritionist, a finance and legal department – you name it they have it. After meeting with ASM, I was convinced that they can make me the new UFC world champion.”

“To think that the number one contender in the UFC heavyweight division, and one of the greatest fighters in the world, Alistair Overeem, has chosen to work with Authentic Sports Management is a very proud and profound moment for myself and everyone that is part of ASM,” said Robinson. “We are working hard every day to grow ASM into the best agency in the business, and to take care of our athletes as though they were family, and the fact that Alistair Overeem has chosen us, and is relocating to South Florida to work closely with us, is one of the highest compliments you can receive in this sport. I am beyond excited to have Mr. Overeem with us, and watching him fight on May 26 as part of ASM will be one of the highlights in our company history.”

  2. No worreh says:

Jds gonna bus ur glass jaw if they stand toe to toe in the pocket jds will put his hands on his chin. I hope reem brings his pillow kuz he gonna take a nap

    • Xaninho says:

Again the glassjaw bullshit. Stop repeating what biased people say. Overeem has just 6(T)KO losses in 47 fights! If that shows he has a glass jaw than I suppose Wanderlei Silva has one too? And what about Randy Couture who has 6 (T)KO losses in only 30 fights?

These bullshit n00b glassjaw remarks are ticking me off.

JDS can KO him, but that doesn’t mean Overeem has a glass jaw. JDS has the KO power to KO ANYONE.

      • No worreh says:

Ok well not glass jaw calm down gettin your pantys in a bunch big dog ha,ha,ha

      • Anthony1994 says:

        Anyone but Big country haha

      • Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

Dude… I’m not dogging ya but you aren’t counting the other 14 fights he had in K1 and you are adding the TKO’s and KO’s of Wandy’s record (4 KO and 2 TKO losses) and Couture’s records ( 3 KO and 3 TKO losses) to fudge the numbers. I will admit that he has a total of 61 fights but if you want to be fair then add Overeem’s TKO’s and KO losses together you would get a total of 9 of those losses. 6 KO losses and 3 TKO losses since 1999. It’s all on Wikipedia!

      • Jujutsu Player says:

To be fair, Wandy does have a bit of a glass jaw these days…..But I agree with you, it’s a bit unfair. I think JDS will KO Overeem but that’s because he has awesome power and hand speed and could probably knock out any HW out there.

  3. Allistair Overeem says:

Im sexy and I know it!;)

  4. Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

    Interesting choice of training partners…

    • Xaninho says:

Not surprised at all. Tyrone Spong is already there.

      • Dog chapman says:

bruddah this guy xaninho traind me in rex kwan do and the acient chinese art of tucknut between leg and pumpinassjitsu bra

      • Dog chapman says:

I swear I read ur name on a chinese menu stood for shrimp in man-cum scauce

      • Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

Overeem’s skills as a kickboxer can only elevate the Blackzillians. Rashad could use a bigger opponent to prepare for Jones .

        • Xaninho says:

Well actually Tyrone Spong is skillwise a better kickboxer than Overeem. He did lose to Overeem but he is smaller and is still getting used to the extra weight in HW.

You know he started his muay thai career in 155?

        • Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

Overeem at 155 or Tyrone Sprong? Sounds hard to believe considering that’s what I weigh and now Overeem is 256 lbs.

        • Xaninho says:

Tyrone Spong started out as a 155 at least I thought, but I just checked it and it’s 145lbs but that was as a junior…

He kept moving up in weight, partly because he gained as he matured, but mainly cause he was cleaning out the divisions he was in. He had a nearly perfect record for years, hence his nickname “king of the ring”.

  5. toneloc24 says:

If bas rutten says he has a glass jaw then I’ll go with him over what some overeem nuthugging moron says. Nothing personnel homie just calm down it’s not that serious. U think overeem gets that upset when someone says u have a glass jaw?

    • Xaninho says:

It’s annoying the shit outta me, just like you are now. You go for the biased opinion of Bas Rutten who is butthurt cause Overeem left his buddies at Golden Glory and you’re refusing to acknowledge cold facts.

      Nice going numbnuts.

    • Dog chapman says:

Bruddah u make me laugh I would mace your ass bruddah u drink ta ta scauce and this is personal bra tone loc what that mean u think u a gangster bra I would smack u down to china town bk and ninja oreo dollop u want to train rexkwando

  6. Al says:

    Blackzillians are getting stacked…

  7. strictly mma says:

Hope the blackzillians help him with that glass chin. We all know JDS can take a punch. As for Overeem well we already know what happens when he gets hit.

  8. Chartmonster says:
