Fabio Maldonado Calls Judge "A Leper" Following Decision Loss | UFC News

Fabio Maldonado was defeated in by unanimous decision by Igor Pokrajac (29-28, 30-27, 29-28). Afterwards Maldonado was less than impressed by the judges performance even calling one judge a “leper”
Maldonado responded to the decision on his Facebook page.
“I am too upset. What fight those judges saw? Not mine. One leper scored 30-27 to Igor. I apologize to my fans, I had promised that I was going to finish the bout before 15 minutes but I couldn’t. Depending on three incompetent who have never fought is f–ked.”
The Nogueira brothers also protested the decision on Microblog.
“What’s this? Where the hell Maldonado lost the fight? Maybe they saw another fight? Yet, there was a judge that gave all the three rounds to the Croatian!”

If half you idiots knew anything about MMA you would know this isn’t the first time Madlonaldo has been screwed by judges. He’s not crying and has a legitmate reason for speaking out against those corrupt judges. other than “fitching” the 2nd worst thing dragging down sport of MMA is judging plain and simple.

The unanimous decision was a bad one on itself, but 30-27? wtf was that judge doing during the fight? Judges like that need to be fired, totally incompetent!
And good luck finding another job! If he really saw that fight as 30-27 he will have trouble flipping burgers the right way as well!

I gave 29-28 to Procrajac. First round to Procrajac. Second round went to Maldonado. The third round was very close but i think Procrajac took it.

Biggest robbery in UFC since Kampmann lost to Sanchez or Wiman lost to Siver. This shit is getting ****in ridiculous they need to intro the judges more thoroughly so they can single out who the **** is horrible and fire them asap. I know they say most judges are retired fighters but that’s definately not the case these judges don’t know jack shit they’re putting careers in jeopardy every fight card. We need more fighters like Almeida to step in.

Its time the athletic commissions formed an oversight committee to reveiw these horrible decsions and make these corrupt judges accoutable

He calls a judge a leper and nothing happens. King Mo calls a woman in the athletic commission a bitch and gets let go. Where are the boundaries? Erik Silva handled his loss better.
The woman in the NSAC just did her job and suspended Mo the roidqueen. This judge deserves to be spoken about the way Maldonado did. This judge is a ****ing joke with his 30-27 score. Maldonado landed 166 significant strikes and Pokrajac just 64. How the **** can this moronic judge score it 30-27?
The 29-28 from the other two in favor of Pokrajac was bad enough, but 30-27 is either deliberatly giving him too little points or being the most incompetent judge ever.
Judges making outrageous bad calls like this are at least suspicious, cause I can’t even imagine someone actually being this stupid and incompetent.
Well you could argue the same for this judge. He was just doing his job like the woman in the athletic commission and Mario Yamasaki.
Not really, this judge wasn’t doing his job. If he did his job Maldonado would have had his hands raised at the end of the fight.

MMA needs a new scoring system. The 10 point boxing system does not work, MMA is much more complex. A 15 point system with 5 points each for aggression, grappling and strikes will work better. The judges also need to be black belt level martial artists or collegiate or Olympic level wrestlers, not these idiot state appointed “boxing” judges.
I thought it were mostly wrestling judges already. Takedowns and Lay n Pray has been overappreciated by the judges for ages now.
If these judges were boxing judges they would have no trouble judging this match correctly. It was mostly a stand-up fight.
