EXCLUSIVE | Roy Nelson on Everything part 1 (Must Read) | UFC NEWS
On how he’s feeling after his KO victory over Dave Herman at UFC 146:
“Ready to fight again. My training camp was a lot harder. It made the win that much sweeter”.
On when he would like to fight again:
“It all depends. Next week – probably not. Maybe two weeks”.
On who he would like to fight next:
“Who do I think is going to be next. I’d put Mark Hunt say in front of like Travis Browne. Travis has an opponent already. I would like the winner of Cheick Kongo and Big Nog. That would be a fun fight for me. Fighters in the UFC are supposed to be the best in the world. So yeah anybody”.
On Brock Lesnar possibly returning to the UFC:
“I would fight Brock no problem. I would love to be the one to welcome him back. I didn’t even know he was at UFC 146. If I did I would have taken the mic a little bit further. I would have done a real Chael Sonnen”.
On a title shot:
“Apparently, sometimes you can be 1-1 and get a title shot. So yeah I’ll fight anyone”.
On the WWE:
“Yeah, I’d definitely go to the WWE. As long as I can get the okay from the UFC. I have to get more definition of what independent contractor means. From my schooling that I have I know what independent means. I think I would have to get more definition from the UFC. I think every kid wanted to be a pro wrestler like Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper, or Big Van Vader. It was a big part of the 80′s and 90′s for our culture. It’s one of those dreams that if it happens it happens”.
On the changes he’s felt since getting in better shape:
“Probably just my hormones. When you get older your hormones change and you have to get on some type of therapy or something”.
“TRT is allowed in MMA so I can’t really speak on that. I CAN talk about the people who abuse it. It’s always good to know who’s actually on it and who’s not. There are probably a lot of them”.
On Alistair Overeem:
“I’ll say this. I would tell the athletic commission not to mix his pee up with mine”.
