Just Scrap Radio | Pulver Brothers Discuss the Outcome of Diaz vs Miller and More | Exclusive

Just Scrap Radio Episode 4 begins with Host Jens Pulver and co-host Abel Pulver jumping right in to talk about the Diaz vs Miller bout that just took place last weekend on UFC on Fox3. The Pulver brothers agree Nathan Diaz with his skill set and technique made a statement loud and clear – Nathan Diaz deserves the title shot opposite lightweight champ Ben Henderson. Here’s how it went down at the Just Scrap Radio airwaves
This fight I think is a coming out party for Nate. I think Nate just announced his presence with an authority. It’s probably the best performance I’ve ever seen in every aspect of the game from Nathan his stand up looked as crisp and clean as it ever has. His wrestling was actually something I was really impressed with – his ability to out wrestle Jim Miller – that’s not something I thought that he was able to do, and then obviously he’s a great jiu jitsu practitioner - his ability to just end the fight when he wanted to. Nate was out of control, man. He just blew my mind.
Yeah, he’s a mean boy to go out there – not to take anything away from Miller. Miller is a tough, tough fighter always has been. I know one of the last time he’s been submitted like that. Diaz jumped in on him and when he locked that guillotine – it was just crazy. I believe Miller at one point spit his mouth piece out and started biting his tongue. It must have been the most vicious squeeze across his neck with his arm. To me that was just the biggest statement -I know Diaz coming down – He wanted to show everybody. I should be running for the title which kind of leads me to what I was gonna say. Does he deserve a shot for that belt over Edgar to go out there against Bendo?
I think he does. I think this fight was a real statement and the fact that Miller’s never been submitted and obviously never been finshed but not only has he’s never been absolutely dismantlled in the way that Nate Diaz was able to not even against Bendo. He had his moments against his fights against Henderson. Henderson out fought him and out positioned him and added some dirty elbows with some ground and pound and I think him up but he was in that fight the whole time. And in this fight Nathan just blew him out of the water I never expected but that’s all you can say Nathan blew him out of the water and he’s not the number one contender I don’t know who is.
