UFC 170’s Ronda Rousey: “I’m willing to die in there”

“On paper, she’s an amazing athlete, and athletically you could say we’re very close to equals, and that’s why people are so excited about this fight. But I think that I’m more of a fighter than she is. I can tell that this title is not as important to her as it is to me. She has a kid at home, and she has to go home to that kid. I can afford to be selfish, where she can’t. I’m willing to die in there, and she can’t.”

It’s fight week, and I can’t seem to wonder why you guys aren’t more interested in what, UFC 170 headliner Ronda Rousey, has to say…

At today’s media event the UFC champ proclaimed that she was ready to die in the cage, but is the just a poor rehashing of the common pre-fight hype? Or is it genuine?

How many of you are going to tune in this weekend?

No not tuning in, can’t stand the lowlife trailer park wench, but I am hoping to read that Sarah knocked her block off “and killed her” the next day….lol

  2. Gargoyle Wrestling says:

Ronda puttin’ on the game time face…..Gotta love this chick!! But it do sound like she being tryin’ to convince herself she be a bit tougher than MaMann!! The chess game is played….I’m buying this card!!!….

  3. BurningMan says:

Ronda kicks ass…but Sarah having a kid, yet still willing to step into octagon? Doesn’t mean she’s “willing to die”, it means she’s “burned the boats”.

Don’t care what the stigma is around RR, her bouts are fun to watch. The way she sprints after the finish with those throws.. you have to appreciate.

I can understand where she’s coming from. From an Olympic medal winner to home depot……then seeing what gina carano did on less credentials…..Now she has tons of money, freedom, movie roles and more and if she loses that she loses everything and she knows that. And that gives her way more incentive since she has had a taste of all that from the depths of obscurity and ramen noodles. Me myself going through the same thing but not as a mma fighter, i worked from eating dirt and 20 mile bag drags to being able to take an overseas vacation every month for 2 weeks after 10 long years, I would say and feel the same way as her.

I can understand where she is coming from. From ramen and moving boxes to having the option of having her own chef and movie starring. If she loses it can all reverse.

  7. Doc says:

I do not believe for one second that Rousey is willing to die in fighting in the UFC.
