UFC 167 Fighters Test Clean For Banned Substances
According to Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer, all of the athletes at UFC 167 were drug tested, and all came back negative for performance enhancing substances and substances of abuse.
UFC 167 featured a headlining fight between UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and Johny Hendricks, with St. Pierre coming out victorious by way of a controversial split decision.
There was much controversy before the fight, when St. Pierre confirmed that he was being tested by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA). St. Pierre and his camp urged Hendricks to take part in the testing, but Hendricks was concerned with St. Pierre’s association with the company. Hendricks declined to take part in the VADA testing, but was tested by the NSAC.
