UFC 162 Weigh-In Results: All Competitors Make Weight
Of course, the main event of the evening will feature the much anticipated title fight with UFC middleweight champ and pound-for-pound kingpin Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva squaring off against undefeated Chris Weidman, who many believe to be the greatest challenge to Silva’s crown to date. When the two men faced-off for the cameras things got slightly tense as neither man backed off, ending with both Silva and Weidman pressing faces awkwardly.
After making weight, both men caught up with Joe Rogan to discuss their take on tomorrows bout.
In response to more-or-less kissing Anderson, Weidman told Rogan, “He has nice lips, my wife, don’t get jealous.” An unshaken and confident Weidman continued, “He is the man, this is my time to shine. Tomorrow night history is being made, love it or hate it, (the) underdog is on top.”
Next Rogan spoke with an always humble Anderson Silva, who stated, “All the fighters that fight for the UFC are the best, this is the best event in the world. All the fights tomorrow are the best fights in the world, not me. Chris has the chance for the belt tomorrow, I’ve come to fight for my fans, thats it.”
