UFC 141 Pre Fight Press Conference Open To The Public In L.A. This Friday

Fans are encouraged to attend this Friday’s UFC 141 pre-fight press conference at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, Calif.
UFC 141 is set to take place on Dec. 30 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The end-of-year pay-per-view event will feature a five-round non-title fight between former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and newly signed heavyweight stand-out Alistair Overeem.
Doors to the event open at 1 p.m. local time and the press conference will begin just one-hour later.
Free and open to the public, former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem will hit the microphone in an attempt to promote next month’s pay-per-view event.
The UFC on Fox 1 weigh-ins will also culminate the day’s activities at the same venue.

• Jon Fitch vs. Johny Hendricks
• Alexander Gustafsson vs. Vladimir Matyushenko

• T.J. Grant vs. Jacob Volkmann

is anyone else worried that these new 5 round non title fights may produce longer more boring fights? Obviously Leben Munoz was fine, but considering the gas tanks of the heavier fighters I am concerned they will maybe hang back and conserve energy early on.
It’s worth testing.
A lot of fights end up w/ razor thin decisions and even worse, Draws.
5 Round fights will help alleviate that issue. And if it doesn’t, the UFC won’t do it anymore.
I think it’ll prevend alot of crazy judges decisions. Most 5 rounders end before the last bell rings…There were way too many fighters being robbed by the judges lately.
they should go pride on em again and make the first round 10 minutes
i didnt know overeem was 6’5, i thought he was like 6’0. any fight with brock is entertaining so i cant wait for this!
