UFC 141 Gets "The Janitor" vs. "The Mauler"
Two of the scariest men on the UFC’s 205 pound roster have agreed to face off on December’s UFC 141 card in Las Vegas.
A bout that was originally scratched from the UFC 133 card has now been rebooked in the form of Vladimir “The Janitor” Matyushenko vs. Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson.
UFC 141 is set to take place on Dec. 30 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The end-of-year pay-per-view event will feature a five-round non-title fight between former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and newly signed heavyweight stand-out Alistair Overeem.
Matyushenko last saw the inside of a cage in his UFC 129 first-round knockout over Jason Brilz. A long-time MMA heavy hitting wrestler whose career has spanned the course of nearly 14-years, the Russian fighter has gone an impressive 4-1 since returning to the UFC with his only loss coming way of Jon Jones.
Gustafsson is another talented fighter and has impressively amassed a 12-1 pro MMA record. He last fought against Matt Hamill at UFC 129 when “The Janitor” was forced out of the bout due to injury. It was a fight that really highlighted the 24-year-olds talent and marked his fourth UFC win. To date his UFC record stands at 4-1 with his lone loss coming from Phil Davis at UFC 112.
