UFC 137 Prelims Special On Spike Draw 1.1 Million Viewers
The latest installment of the UFC and Spike TV’s “UFC Prelims” special drew in 1.1 million viewers and an overall 0.8 household rating this past Saturday.
Spike TV officials confirmed the numbers this afternoon.
Headlined by a lightweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Dennis Siver, the Spike Prelims special featured two action packed fights both concluded with finishes. Cerrone was able to submit his foe by submission in the first round and Bart Palaszewski earned a KO victory over Tyson Griffin in the opening of the broadcast.
Both Prelims Special victors took home Fight Night Bonuses for their efforts.
UFC 137: Penn vs. Diaz” took place this past Saturday from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The pay-per-view event was a stacked affair that put two of the most popular fighters in MMA against each other for a welterweight showdown that was nothing short of spectacular.
In one of the best and most technical MMA fights in history, Nick Diaz returned to the UFC in emphatic fashion to best multiple time champion, BJ Penn.
