UFC 137 Fighters Test Clean For Banned Substances
The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) confirmed today that all UFC 137 participants that underwent drug screenings passed.
UFC 137: Penn vs. Diaz” took place October 29 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The pay-per-view event was a stacked affair that put two of the most popular fighters in MMA against each other for a welterweight showdown that was nothing short of spectacular.
The majority of the fight card was in fact tested as the NSAC confirmed they selected 17 participants on the night to undergo mandatory drug screenings to detect drugs of abuse and performance enhancers.
Event headliners BJ Penn and Nick Diaz as well as Cheick Kongo, Roy Nelson, Scott Jorgensen, Hatsu Hioki, Donald Cerrone, Eliot Marshall, Brandon Vera, Chris Camozzi, Francis Carmont, Ramsey Nijem, Danny Downes, Bart Palaszewski, Tyson Griffin, Dustin Jacoby and Clifford Starks all underwent the screening and passed.
