  1. ThaGreenBandit says:

Nate looked especially nasty, Koscheck did as expected, and John Bones Jones, cocky attitude aside, is the absolute truth. I wanted Rampage to pull this one off, but he was just Completely dominated.

    • Rampage supporters were heard saying... says:

“please….tell me i’m dreaming…tell me i’m dreaming…this is best two out of three, right??? oh crap…..what now??? what now??? i in sick tomorrow at work….damn…is he REALLY over??? is he??? …and after all that crap i was saying before the fight…..damn…..”

      • Jon Jones Nut Huggers were heard slurping.... says:

Congrats to “bones” on his first official win over a valid opponent. Who cares if it took 4 rds to submit a dude with no bjj and sub-optimal sub defense. My beef with this sport now is the fact that you dont have to fight the absolute top anymore to get a title shot. I.E. Brock Lesnar, Cain “Brown Pride”, Shogun, etc. The list continues. That being said the sports newer “fans” are bandwagon fans at best and posers at worst. If you had any loyalty you would stick with the people you dig and not the current champ. In closing; I was utterly disappointed with this entire card, the fact that was the fight of the night, watching jones run away for 4 rds is an embarrassment to that bonus. If that is the “future of the UFC” I wont be around much longer. I pay to see fights not watch demos of the japanese art of retreat. Props to Josh Koscheck and Matt Hughes for the best fight on the card. Thanks

        • DBKlein69 says:

u wont be around much longer? are we supposed to care? u sound very bitter that jones won last night :) suck it up homie :) hahahahaha!!!!!

        • J C says:

you’re an idiot, period. i’m surprised you used the word “utterly.” The word is “evolve” which you and Rampage haven’t done. MMA today is not the same MMA 10 or even 5 years ago. Who cares if a former champion with over 40 fights of experience and all those years in the gym couldn’t come close to beating a “kid” with LESS than half the amount of fight experience? The word is “appreciate,” which is another failure in your lfie and all others who hate on Jones for no reason. Even your hero, Rampage, showed respect after the fight towards Jones by saying that there is “no LHW in the UFC that can beat” Jones. You should take note of that.

        • I speak the truth! says:

This match made a couple things apparent.
          1. Rampage is underrated by Jon Jones fans. That was a great performance for a 7-1 underdog!
          2. Shogun was rusty
          3. Jon Jones is overrated

        • Whatever... says:

        • martin says:

Totally agree. I can’t figure out why anyone fights anyone in the ufc. Some one will be in a title fight that I’ve never heard of or is past there prime. Also, to your point, a fighter will win a couple of fights against middle of the pack and suddenly their fighting for the title and “one of the best the ufc has ever seen”. Sucks.

    • Words From Quinton Ramone "Rampage" Jackson says:

“He’s great, guys, I thought it was hype. The kid is good.”
“Jon Jones is a great wrestler.”
“The kid is here to stay.”
“Whoever fight him next, I don’t know, man. Jon Jones, I don’t see nobody beating him.”

      Accept it. Rampage has.

  2. Travis says:

So much for Rampage exposing Jon Jones. Jones just added another bullet to his resume: only person to finish Rampage in the Octagon.

    • ThaGreenBandit says:

The kid is unbelievable. Seriously. His attitude may be hard for some, including me, to like, but you have to acknowledge that his natural ability and his skills put him in a class well above the rest of the best of the 205 lb division

      • e says:

no doubt man. he’s an extremely crafty mofo.

i wonder how much damge rampage took in that one. and who will be next for rampage. i wanna see machida vs jones. that would be epic.

        • ThaGreenBandit says:

Right now, it’s hard for me to envision even Machida giving Jones any trouble. He’s hard to hit, and has great counter striking ability, which seems like it would be the perfect style to give Bones problems, but I’m not so sure now.

  3. Mr.Burns says:

Jones is a cheater, fake, and a cocky mofo!!!

  4. Rue says:

I dislike Jones, but no one can doubt his natural talent and abilities. I don’t know anyone in the 205 pound division that can give him a competitive fight, other than maybe Dan Henderson and that’s only because of his wrestling pedigree, solid chin, and the H-bomb.

Forget GSP vs Silva, lets get Silva vs Jones fight going. I would love to see Anderson Silva tool Jones, what do you guys think of the match up?

  5. Steve says:

Great night of fights, not the best one ever but a good one for sure with a great main event. Silva vs Jones would be great but Dana just said that the 205 division is too stacked with contenders for the super fight to happen. Anderson is 37 so by the time Jones cleans out the division (which he will) Anderson might be ready to hang em up. I want to see Jones move up to HW after he cleans out 205 to fight guys like Cain, JDS and Mir. Jones is very skilled but I wonder what would happen to him against guys the same size or bigger. He’s still got that freakish reach but when you have a guy like JDS who is hard to take down and has a very long reach too it would be interesting.

  6. e says:

i was impressed with diaz fight. the dude is bad ass especially when he’s mean muggin. pretty classic. he was pretty humble after the fight. i wanted to see double middle fingers in the air/and flexin while putting a triangle on gomi.

  7. Mo says:

Jones is for real in case the haters haven’t noticed…complete domination of another great fighter….line em up….who’s next?? Don’t jump on the Nate Diaz bandwagon Georges St Pierre Jon Fitch Jake Shields Nick Diaz BJ Pen Rick Story Carlos Condit Thiago Alves and Josh Koscheck ….Macdonald, Ellenberger can all beat up that chump.

  8. henry the english teacher says:

Great another douche bag champ. At least he a good fighter tho can’t doubt that. He actually comes to fight unlike someone I wont mention. Jones really should go to heavyweight tho.he’s not gunna get any better fighting smaller fighters

  9. I speak the truth! says:

It was a lackluster card beside the main event. I don’t know what you Jones fans are talking about but rampage didn’t get dominated or finished. In order to be finished he would have had to have been KO’ed or TKO’ed which Jon Jones failed to deliver on his promise. Rampage may have not won but he certainly made him look human. He is not even in the same league as Anderson Silva so quit asking for his obliteration. Rampage nearly blocked all of strikes (except or the ones to the knee and one elbow strike), stopped all of his take downs except for two, and neutralized his ground and pound (name someone else who has survived, I dare you)…. Honestly Jon Jones is good but in the elite 205lbs division he won’t last long with predictable striking and hip tosses for much longer. Machida or Evans will eat him alive.

    • To ALL You Haters: says:

…yeah, all that truth coming out of his ASS !!!!! What you’re reading is a drowning Rampage fan grasping at any twig floating by trying to stay afloat, but sinking…quick !
“Machida or Evans will eat him alive?” Rampage beat Machida by decision. Machida beat Evans by knockout. JONES CHOKED OUT RAMPAGE !!! “made him look human?”
hahahahahaahahahahahahahahaha !!! “nearly blocked all of strikes?” hahahahaha.
retard. Rampage said this, Rampage said that…Rampage led by example: talking out of his ass, AND HIS FANS ARE DOING THE SAME !!!!! Rampage ain’t knocking out anyone anymore in the UFC. Those days are done !!!!

      • I speak the truth! says:

The truth hurts when its coming out of my ass and into your mouth! Let me guess you are the same people who said Shogun was 100% yet he got tko’ed in the 3rd. Now I thought Rampage was one dimensional? If that is so then how come Jones didn’t hand Rampage an ass whupping? I will admit he got submitted in the 4th. With all of his talent that was all he could do? How about you Jon Jones fans swinging off his nuts give Rampage the credit he deserves and then I will return gesture. Also tell that fool Jon Jones that he is not Bruce Lee so quit quoting him like it was his own damn quote. He’s ain’t on his level and he ain’t on Anderson level.

You rabid fans may attack me all you want.

        • If we're not attacking you... says:

…nobody is talking to you, you lonely bastard ! lol…. come outside and get some sun, you fricken pale ass ghost…

    • PredatorwithaC says:

For one mr truth…Rashad or Machida have no way near the standup for Jones and Machida will end up just like rampage…now Rashad would be a good fight and I see this the next fight for Jones I still do not think Rashad can pull it off…I am liking the Silva Jones idea..but just after each other fights one more fight!!! I like your knowledge though!!!

    • ThaGreenBandit says:

Please repeat after me; I AM A HATER.

    • jason N says:

Making him tap is finishing him. If he wouldn’t have tapped he would have been sleeping. Hold that choke for another 30 seconds and he would have died, so yea he got finished. Crazy logic. Haters gonna hate

    • Mitko says:

Machida and Evans will eat him alive? Are you on meds?
First of all, Machida has no chance and will fare worse then rampage. Creidt to rampag to stop almost all takedowns. Rashada will give him more problems yet, but will put my money on Jones to beat rashad 9 times out of ten. he looks one class biger the his opponent, and not to mention the reach. By the time people figure him out, he will clean LW division and leep that belt for long time. he is only 24 and geting better

  10. Jpeech says:

Evans will drop him he looked amazing in his fight against tito wasnt even close

  11. Cody Schumacher says:

Nothing to say dudes foreal fuck goddamn it

    • ThaGreenBandit says:

Yeah, I feel you, bruh. There is simply no denying it. Bones is the truth! His cocky attitude had me wanting to see him catch an ass whippin’ but the dude is serious business.

  12. jerome says:

I think most of you are funny, I do like Jones and Rampage. The problem is that Forest already showed the world how to beat Rampage, and that was with leg kicks, Jones knew it and used it. It took the second round before Rampage would even attempt to check them. I love Rampage, and i truly hoped he would connect on Jones so we could really see how good Jones was, and the one time he did was in the body not to the head and Jones felt it. I am in no way saying Rampage is easy, after all he is one of my favorite fighters, but many people have said he is one dimensional, hell Jones even called him Frankenstein which showed Jones was going after his legs. Great fight great heart, Jones has always been legit, but to say it now simply because he beat a predictable Rampage is just funny, the one thing that amazed me is when Rampage bucked out, too bad he didn’t buck out swinging!

  13. James Wolfe says:

Can’t wait to see Jones destroy Rashad. This will fun to watch. Jones is the real deal. Enjoy his fights folks; you are watching a legend in the making.

  14. Cody Schumacher says:

I’m not trying to take away from the guy but his clear number one advantage ain’t his skill its the fact no one in the lhw div is even close to his size he’s to big for everyone in the div its almost like jds fighting at lhw I don’t understand how he makes weight he looks 6’5 240 it must be nice knowing no one can take u down and u can just go ham on people

  15. BJPennrules says:

Thats the last Jon Jones fight I will watch..he is the best at 205 bar none,..
but I dont like the way he attacked..he kick directly on the knees to hyperextend them??????? thats bullshit..he is such a wannabe Anderson Silva it makes me sick..
fighting Rampage with a 13 inch reach advantage???? go to heavy weight..and fight someone your own size. Let see him do that shit to Brock and Cain and JDS..
    that would bre interesting.

  16. zc says:

jones not on same level as silva, are u joking. silva beats up a bunch of terds that are smaller than him. name the 3 best fighters silva beat, just do that. jones would do what sonnen did to silva but finish him quick. plus silva is to much of a pussy to fight jones but he’ll fight gsp lol

    • chris says:

are you kidding me? you are fuckin retarded, only 2 good ppl jones has beaten are shogun n rampage…

      • J C says:

the “only 2 ?” sounds like you’re discrediting shogun and rampage more than Jones. man, haters are sinking to a new low these days! jones has beaten everyone he faced in the UFC, the best fighting organization in the WORLD with the best mma fighters. i can hear your whiny voice right now: ” oh..he lost to Hamill…waaaaa.” Jones almost killed Hamill in the process though. oh well, one loss…..

    • chris says:

silva would wreck jones so fucking badly… silvas striking is sooo far ahead of jones, and once he touches jones chin. ITS GOOD NIGHT!!! also, jones would take him down after gettin rocked a few times, and see what a real jits black belt is!!!!

      • DBKlein69 says:

chris it is so obvious u are a jon jones hater with all the stupid things u are saying about him. u were probably one of those ppl before the fight saying how rampage was gonna ko him. u sound so angry that not only did jones win, but he became the first to finish rampage in the octagon. lol u must have been so upset last night. ur gonna have that feeling for a long time my friend :). oh and silva said he wont fight jones cuz they’re “friends”. yea. he’s not scared.

        • mmaislandjunkie says:

i guess if silva said he had to wait a decade to gain 20 lbs you would be more understanding.

        • DBKlein69 says:

mmaisland!! long time no see bro!! silva is so much bigger than gsp. the guy walks around 40 lbs heavier. silva is a bully. he made a brief cameo at 205 when it was weak and then made a mad dash down to 185 where he is hiding safely. sorry but griffin and franklin suck so they dont count. i’d like to see the so-called p4p king fight guys like hendo, shogun, jones. but it doesn’t matter cuz after chael gets his rematch with silva, nobody is gonna care who he fights next. or if he even fights again.

        • mmaislandjunkie says:

anderson is much smaller to bones jones than gsp is to anderson. check their height and reach if u wanna get technical. gsp 76 in reach and silva has a 77 in reach. jones has a 84.5 in reach. gsp is obviously the biggest pusssy out of the three, u can see it clearly in his style of fighting.

        • Will says:

          to DBKlein69
Just a heads up, Silva already faught Hendo and made him “QUIT” just like Jones made Rampage “QUIT”!!!

        • Junkie.. Disagree jones and Anderson are only 2 inches dif in hgt and reach no one can touch Jones.

        • DBKlein69 says:

to will, no sh*t sherlock. hendo was also kicking his asss b4 got caught in the 2nd rd. silva knows he got lucky. he was offered rematch with hendo nov. 12 for FOX debut and he wisely turned it down cuz he knows lightning doesn’t strike twice.

        • mmaislandjunkie says:

chart height doesnt matter much when the reach is almost identical. its a fight not a modeling contest. n if anyone can touch jones itll be anderson.

  17. Curtis says:

just gotta say the LHW division is the weakest FORSURE!!!!! shiiiiiit they had griffin ranked 5th for soo long. Jones is prolly gonna mow down the rest of the division unless SOme how Rashad uses his speed and wrestling to get a desision win. then he’d lose the belt to shogun and bones would get it back from him again….

    • peter ham says:

      lmao.. lhw the weakest.. hahahahhahaa

      • Zack says:

It really is. Lightweight and heavyweight and even featherweight are more stacked than lhw. There’s about 3 legit people on those weights that could hold the belt easily. Look at lightweight for example of course Edgar Maynard then you got Henderson Pettis lay n pray guida cerrone guillard. Lhw you got bones rashad and machida that’s it. Rampage should’ve never got the shot cuz machida beat him but of course it’s all about the $$$$$$$$$$$

        • jones says:

i guesss u dont really watch ufc cu machida never beat rampage,,,and if u saw the fight it was clear rampage won the first 2 rounds it was not even a bad decision,,,,,,,

  18. Curtis says:

btw bones doesnt move to HW becasue he can cut to 205 so why wouldnt you????

  19. ThaGreenBandit says:

Why bitch and moan about Jones fighting at lhw? He’s a big kid and his body allows him to fight at that weight, so why shouldn’t he do it? Eventually he’ll fill out and start putting on that ‘grown man’ weight, and when that happens, he seems to be the type to have the confidence to step up to the heavy weight division

  20. Mo says:

Wow, the Jon Jones haters came out of everywhere, he won fair and square. Rampage as good as he is couldn’t touch him, same for Shogun. Do you guys see a pattern here? He’s taking out the division one fighter at a time, just like Silva. His reach, his counters, his technique and his take downs will be too hard to get by for the rest of the division. Just give props when they are due and stop coming up with that should have, could have bs….

    • Fortyb4five says:

Im still no fan but he’s got my respect. He showed just how well rounded he is in that fight. But Silva is light-years ahead of Jones.

      • Mo says:

Comparing apples to oranges…Jones is just 24, Silva is already 36. Imagine how much Jones will evolve by the time he is 30. If he continues to improve like he has, Jones will be just like Silva maybe even better

      • mmaislandjunkie says:

light years? that’s a noob comment to make especially after seeing how he has handled two elite fighters back to back, one can make the argument that shogun was injured but no one can say rampage was not ready. jones would give silva a run for his money and it would be a very difficult fight to bet on. i wouldnt be surprised if vegas gave bones the odds.

  21. Zack says:

Haha silva would mop the floor with jones. How can you say silva is bigger than his opponents? Sonnen belfort and okami where all bigger than him . Forrest was way bigger than silva. Jones has zero power in his strikes silva would walk through them long ass arms and do whatever he pleased. I think rashad is Gunna lose but has a better chance. But machida will beat him mark my words. There’s a reason everyone at blackhouse are champs. Machida will get the belt back. Jones better stay hiding in lhw cuz Cain jds Brock overeem Mir Kongo Barry really any heavyweight would smash jones the poser. The only way I will ever respect jones is if he goes to heavyweight where he belongs

    • Mo says:

Where he belongs? the scale don’t lie man…205. If a 7 footer weighed 205, guess what? He can fight at Light Heavyweight…Nobody has beat Jones, let him clean out the division like Silva has, then he can move up. But to say “where he belongs” is completely ignorant…

    • zack says:

Stfu bitches. You wanna bash anderson for not goin to 205. But he didand he knocked out two top contenders. If anderson wanted the 205 belt he would have it. Jones couldn’t get the hw belt if he was as big as overreem. He has reach and rastlin. That’s it

  22. Xaninho says:

I was disappointed, but the best fighter won..Jon Jones is the better fighter.

Too bad for Rampage, was really hoping he could pull off a win…… I thought he was going to announce his retirement but he wants Shogun now? Anyway it doesn’t matter to me, I’m still a Rampage fan.

Besides the Jones-Rampage fight, the prelims were better than the main card fights…

    • mmaislandjunkie says:

why when top guys lose ppl talk about retirement? i knew couture would lose to machida but guess what he would still beat alot of the mid level lhw and hw guys and the same goes for matt hughes. these guys still do this for a living and dana should give them mid level opponents until they go on a streak then fight a top guy, lose and go back to mid level guys. but matt hughes facing bj penn the josh koscheck?? cmon man give these veterans some slack!

  23. Zeus says:

unfortunately most people dont have the ability to see this sport for what it is… a evolving product that that has a ceiling most never imagined. Jon Jones really is the future of this sport, not just him… but a wave of new talent that will bring a totally different dimension. Comparing him to Anderson Silva right now is just silly, Although he is very talented the fact is he is only 24. So although Silva might have the edge right now I would say would say with great certainty Jon Jones would beat him given more experience. MMA has really grown and is starting to attract athletes that 10 years ago would have never paid it any mind. Expect to see great things… Fighters like Rampage, Matt Hughes, Tito etc… will be obsolete. Not just from age but for there lack of ceilings. this is only the tip of the iceberg… the new wave is begining.

  24. qwerty says:

Meh. Was a boring fight. Hughes and Kos was more entertaining. I hope bonesdies jot goes down the same road as GSP. I hope he keeps finishing guys.

    • Ryan says:

Amen, no more GSP not finishing fights…hate him or love him Jon Jones is finishing fights and that should be something that is respected. To throw that whole cutting weight bs argument into this is such ignorance, stop hating and appreciate the sport for what it is…if you don’t like it watch boxing.

  25. Jpeech says:

Ok everyone who says he will clean out the division the kid has had one title defense slow the roll here. I think Rashad has the best chance of beating him. He has trained with him and knows alot more than anyone else. Machida would try that back up shit he does and get cracked cause he couldnt jump in and jump out fast enough with the reach of Jones. Oh and if Chael can beat Stann i think he will take Silva next time. (Fingers Crossed)

  26. Xaninho says:

Anderson Silva is 36 years old. So naturally if Jones waits long enough, Silva will be old enough to beat him…If that fight will ever happen I think it should be very soon, if Jones wants to wait for another 2 years till he’s like 38-something, I think Silva should decline it.

It could end up tarnishing his legacy….Cause people aren’t taking his age in consideracy now either.

  27. Xaninho says:

And pls shut up about Cheat Sonnen…Sonnen will get hurt next time he faces Anderson Silva.

  28. Xaninho says:

I meant: people aren’t taking his age into consideration….:s

  29. Jpeech says:

Oh ya Chael will really get hurt while slapping silva from full, half and side mount

    • mmaislandjunkie says:

only one i remember slapping was chael trying to get the ref to stop silva from breakin his scrawny bones.

    • Xaninho says:

Silva was injured and Sonnen was on Steroïds.

And yeah Sonnen was dry raping Silva while slapping him….It was an embarrassment for the sport. Good thing he got choked the fook out.

Now Stann will rip Sonnen a new one so UFC and the true fans can get rid of that bitch.

    • Mitko says:

      hahaha, I like this

    • ThaGreenBandit says:

Do me a favor, and take in account who ended up tapping, and who ended up in getting their hand raised in victory. Hell, if you wanna judge the fight by the looks of both fighters, take a look at Silva post fight, and Sonnen post fight. Either way you look at it, Phael Sonnen lost. GET OVER IT! Phael Sonnen lost to Anderson Silva, and no matter how you look at that fight, the results remain the same!

  30. Jpeech says:

ahhhh do you know what a triangle choke does champ?? lol learn a little bjj then you can talk

  31. Night-Wind says:

Knew that Jones wins and can’t see Evans holding the belt any more. That should be a good fight, caus’ of Evans speed and wrestling. Side difference is just huge!

Anderson Silva said that Jon Jones is going to be a champion for a long time. That’s said.

  32. critterdun says:

I think Rashad and Jones is going to be a damn good fight.

  33. Jmad says:

If Jones developes one punch KO power he is gonna be scary.
