Tyron Woodley Calls Out Rory MacDonald | UFC NEWS

“I want to fight [Rory MacDonald]. If anything happens with Carlos Condit, God forbid, or something happens with that fight, I already told Dana White. Nobody’s calling him out for a reason, because he’s freaking unreal. But if you wait, you think he’s going to stop getting better? In two years, this kid’s probably going to be one of the best fighters in the game. I’d rather knock his butt off now like I knocked off [Tarec Saffiedine's] just before he got the Strikeforce gold.

Everybody’s been Tweeting about [Demian Maia]. I don’t mind the fight. If he fights me the way he fought Fitch, then it’s not that dangerous of a fight. He just took him down and jumped on his back. I think Demian Maia’s tough. He just didn’t really impress me very much. I think if you match us up, it’s going to be a boring fight and we’re both going to get hella flak. I would rather fight [Nick] Diaz, Rory MacDonald, Condit. I would rather fight one of those guys, to be honest. They’re going to bring out the fight. They’re going to make me fight harder.”

Lmao… No worries T Wood I’m sure Rory would be more then happy to kick your ass after he’s kicked Condits! What’s up with everyone getting the fights they want by calling a guy out? GSP Cerrone Pettis Rory Melendez, is there not a pecking order anymore? Look what you’ve done Sonnen… Lol

    • Ainokea says:

Ha. Hella funny magoo. Dana’s just been spoiling the new kids. If Tyron does get to fight Rory “Pizza Back” Macdonald, I would hope T Wood brings his A-game, cuz “Backne” is a really complete fighter… I just hate him.

    • Jackson says:

Its simple.. those are the fights that the fans want to see! Who doesn’t wanna see a fight between 2 fighters that WANT to fight each other? those are the best fights. Rankings are important but at the end of the day, what makes the UFC the best at what they do is that we get to see all the fights we want to see. Whatever the fans want Dana tries to give us and he usually delivers just that and i respect him for that! I mean who the f*ck wouldnt wanna see Aldo VS Pettis?.. if u look at the rankings and contenders that are lined up it doesn’t make much sense but it sure as HELL is exciting and i don’t see anyone complaining about that one! 8 out of 10 fights the UFC books DELIVER the goods! and at the end of the day that is all that matters!

  2. GRT 3000 says:

& the cascade of MMA bullshit continues…that’s what happens when an idiot like Sonnen is allowed to smear a long time champion, and then gets rewarded for his shameful behavior by getting another titleshot (after cheating his ass off) & yet another one when he went in clean and got his ass kicked. (rolls eyes) the UFC needs to put a stop to this crap man….credibility! contendership! fight and win fights to prove yourself – everyone just wants all the flash now.

  3. Jnr#1 says:

In an ideal world there would be rankings and the #2 would fight the number 1 – however when they only fight max. 3 times a year it is hard to determine. No one knows if Johnny Hendricks is better than Diaz until they fight and if we do that, GSP sits on the sidelines for another 6 months or fights someone else more undeserving. Guys can get to the number two by beating people that aren’t that great. If Aldo fights Lamas it will likely end in first round KO and then we gotta wait another 6 months to see Aldo again. If Lamas was to beat someone like Frankie it would prove that he has a good chance of hanging with Aldo… Until then let’s what one of the most awesome matchups in years with Pettis vs. Aldo
