Two Fights Added To Strikeforce Challengers 20

Strikeforce officials have announced two new additions to Novembers Strikeforce Challengers 20 event set to take place in Las Vegas.

A lightweight bout between Bill Cooper and Matt Ricehouse is set for the event as is a light-heavyweight bout between Antwain Britt and Lumumba Sayers.

Strikeforce Challengers 20 is set to take place from The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on November 18 and will air on Showtime.

Cooper had a successful Strikeforce debut back at Strikeforce Challengers 17 where he was able to best Maka Watson via submission. While he only made his pro-mma debut earlier this year, the BJJ Black Belt is a world renowned grappler who boasts accolades such as placing gold at the Pan-American Championship in 2007.

His opponent, Ricehouse is the man who knocked Ryan Couture off the hype train in their Strikeforce Challengers 16 bout with his unanimous decision victory over the son of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture. The win put him at 3-0 inside the Strikeforce cage.

Britt has hit a bit of a rough patch inside the Strikeforce cage. After building a name off of his stint on “The Ultimate Fighter” season 8 he has dropped his last two Strikeforce fights to Rafael Cavalcante and Ovince St. Preux. He likely fights for his life inside the cage this November and will look to avoid a third straight loss.

Facing the TUF alum is Lumumba Sayers. The Colorado based fighter earned his spot on the Strikeforce roster after obtaining a 4-1 professional record on the local circuit with three of those wins coming way of first round submission. He then went on to lose his promotional debut against Derek Brunson at the “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson” event.
