Tonight on BJPenn.Com Radio: Costa Philippou, Shannon Knapp, Crooklyn & Josh Nason

Last night in Las Vegas the UFC presented UFC 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2. The card offered a little bit of everything, but it was the main event that had everyone buzzing before and after the fight. Cain Velasquez came in like a man possessed and recaptured the UFC Heavyweight Championship he lost to Junior Dos Santos 13 months ago. For five rounds Velasquez pummeled Dos Santos and is now, once again, the baddest man on the planet.

Hosts Bryan Levick & Mitch Ciccarelli will discuss the night’s events as well as what lies ahead for Velasquez, Dos Santos and the UFC heavyweight division. To help them entertain you they will welcome four guests to the show that will begin promptly at 7pm eastern/4pm pacific.

Joining the show will be Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp to discuss the upcoming Invicta 4 card scheduled for January 5th. The event will once again stream live on-line, but this time there will be a nominal charge to watch it live. Knapp will also discuss the groundbreaking UFC 157 main event featuring UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey as she takes on Liz Carmouche. This bout marks the first time women have competed for the UFC.

Up next will be Stephie Daniels aka Crooklyn. She will lend her expertise and exciting personality to the show and also discuss UFC 155, Invicta, UFC 157 and what she has going on in her career.

Josh Nason will help close out the show with his usual wit and charm. The Bloody Elbow/Fight Magazine/Wrestling Observer contributor is always a welcome addition to the show and will go over UFC 155 as well as some of the upcoming events the UFC has scheduled.

We were able to add another guest at 3;30 this morning, Costa Philippou will close the show out and discuss his win over Tim Boetsch. The Serra-Longo trained fighter has now won five fights in a row and if rumors are correct, could face former middleweight title challenger Yushin Okami next. Philippou stepped in for teammate Chris Weidman who was forced out of last night’s bout due to an injury. It’s been a wild six weeks for Philippou, he was supposed to fight Nick Ring at UFC 154 last month, but Ring fell ill the morning of the event causing the fight to be canceled.
