I have a special affinity for the teacher Henry S. Okasaki, as I live and teach/practice martial arts, on and off, in Hilo Hawaii. I was also fortunate enough to befriend Master Wally Jay –and produced a broadside for him on his 78th (I think) birthday. Professor Okazaki and Prof. Jay have left a legacy of fine martial arts instruction, thinking, and innovation. Here I share an instructor certification scroll, 20 feet long (a copy), given to Wally Jay from Prof. Okazaki in 1945.
