Todd Duffee Returns: Set To Face Phil DeFries At UFC 155 | UFC News
Todd Duffee has officially been re-signed by the UFC. The once highly touted heavyweight prospect is back following a nearly two year stint outside of the UFC.
The Las Vegas Sun first reported the news.
Duffee was cut back in 2010 after a knockout loss to Mike Russow in a fight that Duffee dominated up until he was put down in the third. Dana White stated that Duffee’s attitude toward the organization was the main catalyst in his release.
Since being released by the UFC, Duffee has only faced two opponents, Alistair Overeem and Neil Grove. He split the two fights with a 19-second loss to Overeem, at Dynamite!!! 2010, and a first round TKO over Grove.
Upon his return, Duffee will face Phil DeFries, who was left without an opponent after Matt Mitrione stepped up to face Roy Nelson after Shane Carwin was injured a week ago.

Duffee hasn’t been within a mile of a PED test since he was in UFC 2yrs ago and he was on LEGAL ROIDS then. what kind of doctor would give a guy that looks like a super hulk testosterone treament at 24. his body is already RUINED and willnever be able to produce its own testosterone at 26. I went to the Boston UFC expo in 2010,and met Todd duffee. He was ****ing asshole.The nicest guys there was chuck,Anderson silva,clay,Tito,and vitor,very cool guys.But yeah he was a prick!
Todd won’t last long… he’s one of those cases when someone looks a lot tougher then they really are.
